Ice Man Cometh IV
Nov. 12th, 2008 12:45 amNumber four in the series. I have absolutely no clue how many more there will be, but I wake up excited to draw more!

I have a pretty good idea where I want this to go, but other than the next bit, it's still unwritten. Any and all suggestions will be taken into account.and discarded
This has been such a great learning experience so far! Especially considering I'm not a fan of graphic novels. Or manga. But just drawing SO MUCH and so many different poses and expressions has been challenging. I really need to mix up the POV and the perspective and stuff, but I suppose that will come with time. And drawing small? Holy crap! This is done on my sketchbook which is just 8.5 x 11. (You can see how the corner turns up in the photograph!) Normally, I draw ONE image on a 14x17, not like... 6 images and all so teeny. I'm still a slave to references, but I've been getting pretty good at loose sketching the poses, then finding a reference to check the anatomy. And of course, BoG screencaps for facial features.
Concrit is more than welcome!

Date: 2008-11-12 12:59 pm (UTC)You were made for sequential art, graphic novels, comic strips--I dunno, whatever you call it when someone who is a clever writer and a good artist puts the two things together.

Date: 2008-11-12 03:10 pm (UTC)I have a hard time with consistency. Hell, I've drawn Snape a million times, but he never turns out the same. Even though he always LOOKS the same in my head. I suppose that's why I've avoided doing anything sequential so far.
With these guys, they're completely modeled after the actors (whereas Snape is SORT OF Alan Rickman, ((to me)) and sort of not). Does that make any sense? Anyhoo, I'm TOTES thinking of doing an HP one after this. I've had a half written HP fic for YEARS that I've stalled on, and because this takes very little exposition, I could probably manage it. *iz excited*
