Hee!

[livejournal.com profile] xenafox has made some very cute little Blades of Glory characters wearing all manner of movie outfits, so I was inspired to make Chazz in his Grublets outfit.

I think she's using some sort of clay that you bake, but alas, I am lazy and I used Crayola Model Magic (or something like that), which is a no bake product. it's also amazingly easy to work with. It comes in lots of colours, but none of them subtle, so I used kid tempura paint and sparkly glue for the evil wizard costume.

And true to Xena's tradition, I gave him very generous 'bits' under his bathrobe! :D

I'm not happy with how his face turned out ( kind of like those shrunken apple people). :( I used a cheap doll for the main form, but cut off her hair and gave her a fat belly (and an even bigger head). As you might notice, i used some of the left-over doll hair on his chest! :D

I wanted to make the mask so it would come on and off, and had originally wanted him to be able to hold it in his hands, but I made it WAY too big, and his teeny little doll hands DEF would not do! The orginal doll was practically a midget, the way the arms and legs were trunciated, and the head was massive.

I used an orange as a base for the form of it, and then, of course, couldn't get the damn thing out, and made a horrific mess, smearing my washable paint and smushable clay with drippy, pulpy orange chunks.

And here's the finished product with the mask on. I should have made a sash for around his waist, but I didn't get around to it.

As an added bonus, my children think it is excessively creepy, and will probably have nightmares from it.

Omg I inspired something! That makes me happy.

AS DOES THE FIGURE. XD That is super cute! And it came out so well...you made the clothing so nice. I still have yet to grasp that completely.

I want to see the picture of the clay bits... *Sick* xD

I had wizard Chazz up as my possible next figure (I draw their outfits out on little sheets and see what I feel like doing) but I'll wait on him ^^

You totally inspired me!

I have no idea how you did all the little details on the Flash Gordon outfits! I've got fuckin' hooves for hands when it comes to gluing and forming, etc. (it's much easier to draw them!!)

And the clothing is only nice because it was SIMPLE!

And he's yours, BTW. I only made him so I could send him to you! (and you can look at his bits ALL you want! :D )

I didn't put any hair down there though ... ;p

No pic of the bits?! LOL! It's fantastic! You're planning on doing the same thing with Snape and Harry and generous bits too, right?

For small details? I can do tiny ones with my fingers but when they get REALLY FUCKING TINY ...toothpicks are your friends :)

And awww omg!! That makes me so excited ^_^ I can't wait to set it on the nightstand so Keith sees it waking up and gets scared by the wizard head =D

It's part of the 5 things to make for people right? I need to get started *Has ideas but has yet to start on them*

Well, they're under the costume, so there's no a great view of them. It's enough just to know they're there! ;)

Why even HAVE children, if you don't plan to fuck with their heads? :D

You can't really see the bits, but it's fun just knowing that they're there.

And hey! Snape and Harry would be fun to do! Maybe after I finish my pic for the Snape_potter fest.

Omg the finished product though is AMAZING. Though, I'm not surprised that your children find it creepy. I personally don't, but I recall being rather horrified by things like it in my childhood. And even now when I get feverish and begin to hallucinate I think of sharp pointy objects and/or concret... which... I could certainly connect to hehehe.

Yeah, there's not much that creeps me out as an adult (other than some other adults ...) but it would have TOTES creeped me out as a kid.

I didn't like dolls, or clowns, and this is pretty much both!
