My new paints, let me show you them.

Okay, I was too impatient to actually DRAW something new, so I just painted over this inked pic.

The results are ... kind of funny, really. The paint still clouded the ink a bit more than I would have liked, but I was amazed at the control I had with the teeny skinny brush the guy at the art store helped me pick out. (ie, he took one look at my basket of goodies, and said, (kindly) "Let me help you find some better stuff." :D )

This pic doesn't have that woobly washed out feeling that I really like from watercolours, but it's also just on sketch paper, and it would just have melted if I'd used too much water.

Also, SUBTLE MUCH? Hee! My kit has 16 colours, I MUST USE THEM ALL! AT FULL VOLUME!


The jury is still out on paint, but I'm sure having fun!

SUBTLETY IS YOUR MIDDLE NAME! I love the tones you achieved with their hair. Possibly the greasiest rendition of Snape hair I've ever seen. :-)

I do, actually, but it's rare these days. Remember that Lucius/Draco picture? That was straight up pencil. I have another solo Draco picture I did recently that was also pencil. The last time I used watercolors was for a present for a friend of her original characters, and it was over a year ago. Even then I was out of practice with them, so it's not the greatest thing in the world, but let me see if I can find it...
