A little Spock/Kirk number that I've labeled STFU.
Work safe. what the hell is wrong with me? I haven't posted peen in a while!!

And here's an icon.

So ... I'm having a lot of trouble with the whole NOT BLENDING THING. I went as far as to take my reference screen shot and vector it. (is that a verb?), like, pixillate the shit out of it, so my brain could see how to break it down in a non smooth sort of way.

I need some lessons on how to blend colours. *taps brain*
And the shadow on Spocks face gives him a very Homer Simpson vibe. How do you make shadows that look like shadows, instead of mud?

I did learn, however, that masking liquid IS YOUR FRIEND! Look at my nice, smooth background! Well, bg colour anyway.

Cheers! (any tips or crit is MUCHO WELCOME-O)

There was this really good panel at the con, where an artist taught us how to blend colors in the face...oh wait. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I got nuttin' to tell you, 'cept I really like Spock's hand on Kirk's face, sort of an 'alien I'm gonna suck your soul out with my fingers'. Or is that a mind meld, huh?

I really like it, Tripp.

Oh man, too bad I missed that panel! I hear the presenter was AWESOMESAUCE!

Trouble with watercolours is, they don't blend. :( MY BRAIN ONLY WORKS IN A BLENDY FASHION!

And yes, my ignorant friend. Mind meld.

*ducks*

Srsly, I've heard from all sorts of artists that watercolors are really difficult. Me, I can't even master crayons...without making zombies!

So, if watercolors don't blend, then why use them when you want to be blendy?

Oh god. I am so tired, but this is just making me grin stupidly, so I have to say something about it.

I love how Kirk's shoulder's appear to be hunched up. That hint of extreme body language (and his hand!) really does scream Captain Kirk.

I commend you for braving watercolors- frankly, watercolors tend to terrify me. *cannot do*

Lmao. I love that...er...pose. xD It are great.

I sucked at watercolors, but I could do shadows. Explaining how I did the work over the internets though without a way to demonstrate doesn't help me help you though >

So, my gmail account has that ability to 'read' the contents of my emails and then put appropriate advertisements in my inbox header. This just appeared:

How About A Nice Cup Of STFU Tshirt Get It On A T-Shirt, Hoodie, Or Bag?

Ahhh, I love that scene, and I think this came out really nicely! I need lessons on watercolors, too, so I can't tell you anything. But I dunno, I think the shadows came out alright. And I absolutely love Spock's hair! :D

I don't really WANT to be blendy. I just am. I am trying to GROW as a porn maker artist.

Thank you! It *should* scream Kirk, as the entire pose was stolen from a screeshot. :D

And yes, watercolours are a tricky, tricky bitch. grrr

Yes. Telling me that you can do it doesn't really help me either.

Great icon! :D

Man, they're even closer in that shot. I would have used that one if I'd seen it.

I was looking for a 'staring into each others' eyes' one, but loved the meld instead.
