This was my happy_trekmas art for rhaegal. She asked for first times, and tropes, and DUDE! How could I resist the infamous Double Ridge(tm)?

As I said before this is amazingly yummy. The detailing and shading is amazing. I've never seen a realistic drawing of the double ridge before this, but I don't think any will ever compare. Very well done.

I did like it! RDJ and Law were smokin'. I kept having to tell myself, though, 'it's a movie, 'it's a movie,' cause it sure wasn't Sherlock Holmes to me. But I can see the slashafuckingfantasticability to it.

Why would I want to do that? I certainly don't deny using reference photos. Every artist who draws realistically does.

Showing the photo along side the drawing is sort of like the magician showing you where he hides the rabbit, don't you think?
