First one is just another Starbuck's doodle, coloured at home. Semi work safe.

Second one is my FEEBLE attempt to copy [livejournal.com profile] swordsart very cool style. Sadly, I used Dollar Store markers, and THEY SUCK! Not to mention that they had no lighter/transluscent colours, so skin tones are out. Please realize that my attempt to copy her style is merely my way of complimenting her and trying to learn something new. I'm not trying to BE her, or take over her style, I'm just playin'.

You've been amazingly prolific this month! What a treat to check my flist....

I love how your drawings have such a sense of narrative. Like, in that first one, Spock looks a tad grouchy, so it seems like Jim is trying to ask his forgiveness. *cough* Love the underwear and how short the shirts are -- more like the TOS uniforms.

[livejournal.com profile] swordsart is awesome! Why aren't more people commenting on her work??? I had missed a lot of early stuff, so I went to her journal and slathered everything with kisses yesterday. Hahaha. I love your swordsy drawing! I don't think you were held back by your inferior materials at all! It's so vibrant!

Very cool. And hey, I like the use of the dollar-store markers! The pointillism effect really works.

Oh my! I think that two are so in character. Jim so teasing and Spock waiting for him ;-)

Ack! They are both awesome, but I giddily clapped my hands at the stippling one! *is flattered*

Both of them are terrific. I like the one where they're kissing, they kind of look like cute little kids.

Oooh, love the first one. Their body language is just perfect and the underwear is sexy. *cough*

The second one is sweet and... do I see some ear sexings there? :D

Thank you! They were both fun to make!

Thanks! And prolific?? INORITE? I JUST CAN'T STOP! I still have a couple of haiti-drawbles to finish, my daily deviant drawing, hump_day_smut, and then like ...4 or 5 fests for next month. *boggles*

Hey, are you doing the reverse trek-bang? I AM!!

As for swordsart, I have no idea why people aren't falling all over themselves to lavish her with praise. She really rocks my socks off! I even featured her last month in my deviantART 'Porn Farr' blog on the trek site there.

Thanks! Yeah, the crap markers worked fine for pointillism, but SUCKED WANG at actual colouring. Oh well, what do you expect for a buck, right? :D

Thank you! It was fun (and tedious) to do! dot dot dot dot dot

I didn't sign up for reverse bang, even though it sounded so fun! Go get your dictionary and look up the word "stress." That's me, there, under the entry. I knew better than to commit even to ksvalentine. This semester's a killer.

Can't wait to see your art/story for the big bang! Are you doing K/S?

Aw, too bad! I'd love to see a nice long fic from you!

As for my art, I think I'm going to do sort of an action shot, with Kirk, Spock and an injured McCoy. Plus a crashed shuttle, ominous rocks and scary giant bug-aliens.

I'm pretty equal oppourtunity when it comes to kirk/spock/mccoy, as long as it's not a threesome. Although ... I've read some pretty hot threesome stuff too! ;)

Thank you hon! Oh, and I got your email! I'm so glad 'they' arrived! Cheers! <3

You SHOULD be flattered, your stuff is awesome!

I'll have to try again when/if I get some prisma markers. I have a bunch of yummy watercolour stuff from Christmas that I haven't even cracked open yet!

That sounds cool! Can't wait! I can't read a threesome unless there are two of one character, like two Spocks fucking one Kirk! Also...I know some will hate me for this, but I'm not as fond of nu!McCoy. I love the old one way more. *hides*

I am working on a long story! I had this grandiose idea that I'd finish it by April. Then I had a chat with my thesis adviser. Now, I think May or June. Sigh.

Both of these are really lovely! It's always interesting to see my favorite artists branch out a bit, and I think the pointillism one is really great! I like their hair. And the dark lines of the eyebrows and eyelids! ♥ And the way you shaded their skin, kind of like how [livejournal.com profile] swordsart does, with the stippling. It's cool! :D

... Okay, I'll end lame comment just by saying: I ENJOYED BOTH. Thanks for sharing! :)

Oh Lord, I absolutely love watercolors. I kind of handled the markers in my Kirk/Sarek/Spock piece as if I was using watercolors. . . it's my fave media.

Wow, two of them! Everyone's so lucky that you've contributed so much for this calendar - thanks a million! These are great, I especially like the technique you used in the marker one. And I LOVE the position they're in in the first one.
