Hey, we got a new cat! Although I haven't taken any pics of him yet (and he's at the vet right now, so I can't ...)

I found him on the side of the highway. Like, RIGHT BESIDE WHERE YOU DRIVE. Inches from where the tires go. WTF? I actually thought he was a dead rabbit (there's tons hit by cars out here in the country) but as we passed, he looked up at us, and I was WUT? A CAT? So I pulled over and tried to see if he was okay, and he kind of slowly walked away, so okay. He can walk ('cause I need another paralyzed cat ...)

Anyhoo, I dropped the kids off a school, went to get a throat swab for strep (funtimez) went to a different town to buy oats for our menagerie, and when I was driving back home, 2 hours later THE CAT WAS STILL THERE. In the snow. And the cold. Poor thing!

So I got out, and this time he was much more agreeable to being picked up, and I put him in the truck and he launched himself at some old Wendy's french fries and scarfed them down.

Long story short, he is pure white with blue eyes, most likely deaf *eyeroll* and has an infected leg. He's at the vet right now getting his 'junk' removed, having his leg looked at and they're going to shave him, since he's quite matted.

Harrison has named him MILKY WAVE. ahahaha I have no idea. Let's hope he gets along with our other cat Willow.

He wanted a Mario Bros cake, and oddly enough, THEY DON'T SELL THOSE AT THE SUPERMARKET. So I bought some evilness marzipan at a craft store and did a lulz worthy job of decorating a supermarket cake.

Poor Mario! It looks like he has glaucoma! :(

We visited a friend who is a mechanic, and he had the coolest snow/truck/tank/thingie evah! Funny story, he bought it used, at an auction. It is missing the passenger window, because the previous owner WENT THROUGH THE ICE with it, and had to kick out the window to swim to safety! AhahahahaDO NOT WANT.



And here is Quincey playing dress-up. And yes, he is riding a sheep. I have no comment.

To complete the picture, imagine him singing Mary Had a Little Lamb at the top of his lungs.

And finally, as promised: A duck in my bathtub.

I'm quite impressed with the cake. I've never worked with marzipan because I only like to decorate with food I'd actually want to eat which leaves out both marzipan and fondant. Also cardboard which I think could be interchangeable. But it certainly looks nice.

Wow, the boys are certainly getting big. They'll be with you at Infinitus, right? resists bringing along scissors. Barely. *iz old* While I am unsurprised you have a stuffed sheep, I will express my surprise that there is only one. I assume the others are being ridden off-camera. Love the dress-up. I think it's the gloves that totally work for me. Though I'm sorry you didn't have a vid of the singing.

I used to have a white, blue eyed cat, and she was deaf, too. Coincidentally enough, we also found her on the side of the highway. Weird.

Is marzipan different from fondant? Now I'm not sure what it was, except that it was not fun to work with. Especially since I don't own a rolling pin, and had to use a bottle of basalmic vinegar to roll the stuff flat.

I'm still not sure if the 'fam' will be coming with me for Infinitus. .... ....

And the sheep is not mine. We were at the snow-tractor people's house for that. At my house, he'd be dressed as a member of KISS. Actually, for Harry's birthday party, Quincey spent the first half dressed as a 'flamboyant' pirate, and the second half dressed as Ace Frehley.

He's really having a rough go. He's got pretty severe frost bite on his ears, tail and back legs. The legs are already infected, so they gave him injected antibiotics, so hopefully that will help.

He is a really affectionate sweetie, despite the obvious pain he must be in.

Marzipan is made of almonds and it tastes better. Fondant is more sweet. But I don't really care for the taste of either.

You'll be at Universal Studios but won't have the kids? Really? Al and I still haven't decided how long we'll be on vacation. But I expect we'll hit Disney and Sea World, too.
