Paint a large unicorn on a military transport truck. You must have permission to do so.

Second part was harder than the first )

How hard could this be, right? RIGHT?

I went to the local .. armory? type place, met some very nice soldiers who kindly took me to the man I needed to see. Captain Hayes. (Did the fangirl in me get a kick out of calling someone Captain? NOOOOO! :D ) Anyhoo, Captain Hayes said he'd have to talk to his superior, etc etc etc. Then he called me two hours later to say that unfortunately, it just could not be done. He was really nice and sweet, and like i said, called me right back to let me know.

I'm sure you're all familiar with my aversion to the word 'No', so of course, I wracked my brain to do it some other way. Where else could I find a military transport truck? Kijiji! (Kijiji is an online buy and sell classified thing, for those of you around the world.)

I found a truck, I called the guy up who was selling the truck and asked if I could paint a unicorn on it.

"I don't see why not." he said. WTF? Why are all these people so damn nice and accomodating?

So, I made an appointment to go to his house on the Sunday, met him and his wife, talked about chickens (they were rural too) and then painted a unicorn on his truck. :D I was very relieved when it came right off with a squirt from a hose. I had visions of the 'washable Crayola paints' leaving some sort of horrible, permanent unicorn tattoo on there. :D

One more item marked off my list.
