Dexter is my ex!

Whew! I just watched season one.

I bought it over a year ago, and just never watched it. I don't watch a lot of tv, and hubby likes 'true crime' type stuff, but is not into horror/bloodbath type stuff, so I didn't want to force it on him, and generally, if the tv is on, HE is watching (and I'm surfing), but he's been sick lately with the flu that has taken over North America, and I"VE been up late alone, so ... DEXTER!

(incidentally, he's caught bits and parts of a few episodes,(ha! pun intended) and has asked me to fill him in on the details!!)

I am amazed at how ... much I worry that DEXTER will get caught or killed, when OBVIOUSLY, there are like, four or five more seasons.

The actor has AMAZING SHOULDERS. I think I have some odd, biological initiative that centers around shoulder to hip ratio. I mean, yeah, that's a typical bio-instict, I think, but I have it BAD. He's not an unattractive man, but reminds me A LOT of an old boyfriend of mine. Old bf ahoy! (I just pulled that off a google search of his name.) He was my first serious boyfriend, and it was filled with the typical drama of two teenaged art students. *massive eyeroll* But HE was so funny and odd, that if I found out today that HE was a serial killer, I'd be like ... yeah, I can see that.

Anyhoo, I must aquire season two, although it is cutting into my art time!!!! *shakes fist*

I've heard that Dexter seems to lose steam later on, but the earlier seasons I have seen are brilliant. It is a weird space to be in - worrying that the serial killer will get caught. But I was right there with you. There are some pretty tense moments coming. Just saying.

Best season imho is season 4, the one with John Lithgow as the Trinity killer. Compelling and nail-biting television. Plus, I kinda want to do dirty things to Michael C. Hall (funny because that wasn't the case when he played David on Six Feet Under. Dexter is just such a fucking BAMF that it makes me feel a bit funny Down There.)

I love Dexter so much. Every season of it. Seriously, the whole cast is stellar.

Wow! It looks like old boyfriend is on the unknown desert planet where Captain Kirk fought the Gorn. Lucky bastard. Damn, if he was only wearing a red shirt ....

Yay! I got season two yesterday, and finally set up the treadmill, so I will walk while I watch, instead of eat. (not that I can't eat on a treadmill, mind ..._)

Ha! I totally thought Gorn when I saw that pic too! :D I have no idea what he was thinking. We were fifteen when I moved away, and I've seen him a couple of times since, but nothing indepth.
