Harrison WIP4

Man, I'm so slow this time! More because of RL getting in the way, and Snarry games and Beholder fic to read, and Nintendo Wii to play, and work grrrr. I'm also trying to be really careful with this one, because I bought a frame and I want to put my two pics of my boys up on the wall.

Of course, the more I do this one, the more I think that my pic of Quincey is shit. I mean, I know it's not shit, but since it's been up on the wall for a year, all of my mistakes sort of shout out to me now. Thank god most of my art isn't suitable for hanging, or it would drive me insane all the time!




And here's a close up if you'd like to peruse all the nooks and crannies. So far, it's been mostly 4b. When I'm done the initial drawing, I'll go back with a 6b and darken all the darks. Right now, he's looking a bit dark, but I'm hoping that when I darken the shadows, the light will appear lighter.

This is gorgeous. Kids are so hard to draw, because their faces are so soft and delicate, but you've done an awesome job here, holy moly. And I love seeing how much you love to draw hair (because you so obviously do). It really makes it look impressive.

I can't believe you're doing this instead of playing with your Nintendo Wii, though. That sort of boggles my mind. ;)

Word. People ask me all the time if I have House/Wilson art hanging on my walls. Truth is, I haven't looked at 99% of those drawings since the day I drew them. I'd be sick! ;)

I sort of love/hate drawing hair. Hair, hands and noses. They can make or break a drawing (or artist) so I do them all the time. sometimes it works, sometimes it don't!

I HATE drawing curly hair!!!eleventy11!! Sooo hard!

Ha! They don't think so! :D Harrison is mortified that I'm drawing him. (and thrilled too, most likely) but he'll never show it! :D
