This was drawn for Summersmut over on eyejay. ghot asked for some h/c Snupin, and this is what I came up with. I'm happy with how the inking turned out. I'm still learning like crazy, but I have a long way to go.

I joined a great art beta site (no on lj) and I put up some of my inked stuff there. They were hilariously horrified at the Snarry content, but gave me some amazing tips on improving my inking, and I think it really shows in this pic.

ZOMG THIS PLACE HAS BEEN INTIMIDATING ME SINCE 2005, AHAHAH I made a post of my art, like. A year ago or something? On their forums and like NO ONE replied to it. I felt like such fail LOLOLOL.

However, it really is a fantastic place and so so so inspiring!

Did you post to a reg part, or to the critique. I've only posted there, and yeah, I stressed about it big time. Other than the content, (which got pretty funny WHAT'S BEEN SEEN CANNOT BE UNSEEN type comments,) they were very supportive and encouraging.

Thank you! I bought some markers, and found that I sucked MONKEY BALLS with them, but the thinner ones were much easier to work with. I used mostly a .005 here, and slightly thicker .5 for the really dark bits.

I tried the manga pens, but hahahahahah no.

GOOD god, that's beautiful! Wow. I love how you rendered the drapery. You definitely got the three-dimensionalness of drapery down, and as a HUGE fan of drawing/painting drapery myself, I really, really love the detailing.

And it's such a heart-wrenching picture. It's just so beautiful, explores the relationship between the characters so well.

The detail is amazing. You do haar so well, and creases and foldie thingys. But the emotion that oozes off this is from that glimpse of Snape's face and the posing. Just stunning.

I, like everyone else, am having to retrieve my jaw from my desk over the amount of beautiful detail you put into this. Their hands, the way Snape's cheek is pushed up by Remus' head, the buttons on... Snape's boots, methinks? And the clouds; I could sit and find half a dozen different things in those.

The emotion captured makes this picture truly breathtaking. I think I stared for roughly ten minutes before working up the will to tear myself away from the enlarged picture and actually leave you a half-decent comment!

And the cross-hatching! DEAR GOD. I think I would have gnawed my fingers off after Lupin's Robe Wrinkles Part 1. Is it weird that I kind of want to love on Snape and Lupin's coat wrinkles? I mean, really, they deserve some serious appreciation.

I developed a severe fetish for Snape's cuffs by overexposure to Yukipon's drawings. I thought I had it conquered until I saw this.
Lupin's little patch is love. Snape's right hand is too real. And all the folds of cloth mean that I need to clean the fingerprints off my screen now, thankyouverymuch. That's without going into the pure emotion of the piece. Gorgeous. Is there a fic that inspired this?

I almost had a big "O" moment when I saw the Unbreakable Vow photo from HBP. Snape is up to NINE buttons from elbow to wrist!!! Of course the wrist one is UNBUTTONED. (I understand that I am pathetic, have no fear)

And Snape's full-on, in-your-face profile had me licking the screen just a little bit. (What?! The saliva gets the fingerprints off from molesting your picture earlier).
