Pointillation now with Harry!

Here's the latest update:





And here's something I'm trying out for my second hp_artproject pic. I was thinking of doing the scene where Snape and Sirius are at each other's throats, with Harry between them (in the kitchen of Grimmauld Pl) and I found some cool ref photos with stark lighting, and thought that pastel on black paper would be cool. But of course, I have no black paper in the house (racist bastard that I am), so I did it on dark grey instead. Meh. It's a neat effect, but just a practice run.

I'll get some black paper tomorrow and try again.


I haven't re-read the entire chapter yet, so I haven't decided what scene to draw for sure but OMFG SNAPE IS IN THIS CHAPPIE! I was distraught last time that it was just DD and Harry. The chapter is Book 5, chapter ...oh crap, I forget the #, but it's titled OCCLUMANCY. *dances with Snape induced joy*

Oh man! I loved your Barbossa on butcher paper. That rocked so hard! I'm just finding the whole backwards drawing thing hard. (ie: drawing the light parts and leaving the black parts.)

Your Harry and Severus keeps getting better and better each time you update. And I love how the second picture looks. the gray/black paper will definitely make the colors pop more (and this is coming from someone with absolutely NO artistic talent, whatsoever..)

Cute, indeed :D When I see a Snarry pic usually love one of them slightly better then the other. But in this case I love both of them equally. More: I'm in love with them. I'm sure this will be the most gorgeous pic you've ever drawn. Well worth the waiting.

Cool! I love the effects in both. The pastel on Grey gives a really nice lighting effect and the shadows on Sirius's face is just amazing! I can't wait for the actual one.

The pointillism just makes me shudder with remembered pain, I hated doing it with a passion. Takes too damn long! But yours is coming on long very well. Severus' hair looks so soft and nice...
