Azkatraz workshop possibilites and schtuff

Hai! Anyone on my flist going to Azkatraz?

If so, and even if not: I'm thinking of doing a workshop there, and I'm just trying to gage interest.

I was going to do a 'Colour Your Own Snape' workshop. I would supply a faint outline of Snape and I would instruct the 'class' how to do shading and colouring in crayon. Sort of like those crappy painting tv shows, except you end up with a finished Snape instead of a cheezy outdoor scene.

Would you be interested in doing something like that? Anyone?

Do you have anything else you'd enjoy in a workshop?

Also, does anyone have a copy of a proposal for a workshop? I've never done one and I'm not sure exactly what they are looking for.


As an aside, I am SO slashing Drake and Josh. If you don't have kids under 10, you probably don't have a clue who they are, but they are two step brothers and the pedo in me is enjoying them a bit too much. (they're at least 16, not, like, 6)

Were I going to Azkatraz, I'd love it. My artistic skills are minimal, but I do love opportunities to learn and improve.

Sounds interesting. I love to color! So if I manage to swing funds, I'd do it.

Also, Drake and Josh are SO into each other. But only in the later years when Josh slims down and is pretty foxy(they're both OLDER than ME IRL, I just learned).

I'm going! plan to be part of the Gallery team and it's activities. In fact, I want a REAL ART OPENING event, meet the artists, etc, to really give us more visibility and squee.

I figured if I made an official proposal, it would be related to that. I would love to learn techie stuff from you, like how you draw hair.... **drools**

I'm not going to Azkatraz (NEED MONEYS) but I think that's a great idea for a workshop. With crayons, especially, since they're cheap and therefore you're likely to get not just artists but a lot of amateurs and non-artists who will likely find it fun and something they can learn and continue to try out themselves!

Man, I'd love to, but I have two little kids to account for. Hubby is lovely and supportive of my slash habit, but I think he'd draw the line at more than one con per year, unless it was REEEEALLY close. (like a four hour drive).

How old are they?

Oddly enough, I've never paid a ton of attention to the show, and I guess most of the ones I'd seen are newer ones, so an older one was one the other day, and I was all: WTF? Why is Josh so chubby? And my kids said he was ALWAYS chubby. IDK...

I'd take him either way. Part of my attraction to couples is their diversity. Skinny/muscular/outgoing/popular Drake with Chubby/shy/sweet Josh is the stuff my slash dreams are made out of! ;)

And yes! DO swing funds! It seems there will be lots of artists there!

ARTIST PANEL! Pick your three or four fav artists, and get them to do tutorials on their strengths!

Amateurs and non artists are more my goal. I mean, I'd be thrilled to have actual artists attend, but really, they can colour their own damn Snapes! I know I would have loved this before I had the courage to pick up a pencil. (or crayon...)

There's a fairly good chance I might be going. Your workshop sounds like good fun! It would make me feel like an accomplished artist, lol.
