Here's a few RL pics for ya.

We bought a new goat on Saturday. She is a lovely little Nigerian Dwarf and the kids named her after our last goat (who passed away last winter). Bellatrix Lestrange (aka Bella) She's the black and white one. Our other goat is Professor Sprout. They are both really sweet and shy but friendly. That's my son Harry feeding them. (yes, HARRY! In my defense, I named him Harry before ever reading/writing/drawing HP porn!! and for the record his name is HARRISON)




Here's our pig Hogrid with our mini horse Mr. Snippets.




Here's a very unflattering pic of me feeding our other horse, Mary Poppins. BTW Harry took this pic. Not bad for 4 years old eh?




And just one more, here's little Quincey. He wasn't around for our animal foray today, so I thought I'd stick a pic of him in there too 'cause he's soooo damn cute! :D

OMG, so cute!! Your children are gorgeous! and you know thumbs up for the names! :) I like!!

Seeing them makes me miss the child I used to babysit, but I might see him, when I go home next week :) I wonder how much he has grown!

How come you have so many animals? My Dad has a farm and they have around 120 cows or something, but they don't really count, since they are not really pets o.O

We have a sort of hobby farm. My husband calls it my own personal petting zoo, and he's not far off! We also have 3 dogs, 3 cats, salt water fish, chickens, lots of birds and a tortoise.

I'll post pics of them one day too!

woah, I wish I had pets... any pet actually.. I only have this fat spider *lol* she doesn't even have a name, but she eats all the mosquitoes and flies and I quite like her. ♥

Your boys are adorable! But I really think there should be some kind of law preventing you from naming your pets. Though I can't talk since I have one cat named "Skank". But the rest of my cats have great names. Really. ;D

We have no other HP named animals, and in my defense, all the HP animals live in the barn! :D Almost everyone else has normal human type names ie. Sarah, Spencer,Flynn, Emma, Willow (okay, willow's not a human name) etc. And we didn't really name the chickens or the fish. (but I could!)

And frankly, I think it's a freakin' miracle that I haven't named anything SEVERUS SNAPE yet! :D because then I'd have to have sex with it I DID NOT JUST SAY THAT! oh god, I hope it's at least a horse or a donkey and not something lame like an emu>/s>

I'm going to stop typing now.

Heh. Deny it all you like, but now we know why you were on that site with the man fucking that chicken!

And Skank is the feral cat that lives in my house. You can't touch it, but it will come out to bitch at me if the food bowl isn't full enough. I think my daughter meant to say slink because of the way the cat moves around all hunkered down, but she said skank instead and the name stuck.

And if I had another child I would name it Severus Snape even if it was a girl.

Thanks! I'm glad you think my kids are cute. And even if you don't, thanks for saying it anyway! ;)

We live just oustide the city, on four acres, so it's not really a farm, but we don't have the city by-laws forbidding certain types of animals. We built a second garage that we use as a barn and put a small corral around it, and voila! Instand petting zoo for meeeee! :D

One day, a BIG horse that I can actually ride, but that won't be til the kids are in school. No time right now!

Aww, shucks, cute attack! The kids too. :) I'm so jealous that you live somewhere where you can have real animals. Do you let the pig in the house? Just curious.... We had a goat named Yoda for 24 hours--another story for another time. The icon is him with my daughter.

This is our first year with the pig, and at the moment, no, we don't let him in the house. (that luxury is reserved for the birds, cats fish and dogs!) Oh, and the tortoise comes inside during the winter too!

When Hogrid was still a little baby, and wasn't eating properly (yeah, a pig that wouldn't eat, go figure!) I brought him in the house and kept him in our shower so that I could monitor his eating better. Eventually I managed to win him over and he's never looked back! :D

It gets VERY cold here in the winter, so we *might* have to bring Hogrid inside for the really cold snaps. They don't have much for fur. We'll have to make him a nice little dog house type thing with a heat lamp to help him through the cold.

I HAVE taken him to work with me a few times (I own a pet store) and he was pretty good there, enjoying the attention, but for the most part, I think he likes to hang out with the goats and the horses. Maybe when it's cold out he'll have a different attitude about the store. Plus, he INSISTS on riding on my lap in the van, and damn he's HEAVY! He's only about the size of a Beagle right now, but he must weight at least 60 lbs!

And yes, I'd love to hear Yoda's story! :D

Sorry, have been out of town and have been laughing about this ever since I got back! I can't believe that was you! How cool is that? I think of the name 'Tripp' as a guy's name, so the signature 'Tripper' made me assume it was a guy! Really when the interview question came up, that was the first feedback that I thought of, because it still makes me smile to this day!

aww it looks so nice... I really miss staying with my friends on their farm near where I used to live :( And I miss the sexy Mexican boy who was staying with them too XDDD And their little kids were so cute...

I think I'm still a country girl at heart *sigh* ;p
