Wow! Another year of drawing smut! 2008 was the year of INK! And Spongebob! And Blades of Glory! (and snarry and snupin and fumbledore, of course!)

Can you believe I drewed ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN ARTS? and that's not including my yet-to-be-revealed Snupin calendar pic, my still-as-of-yet-unfinished pointillation pic, drawbles, art chat art and my 19 BoG comic pages. (still unfinished, so I'm not counting them ...)

So instead of boring you with all 107, he's the best of the best (and worst of the worst)

Dumbledore, drawn for the hp_artproject I worked (and re-worked) this one probably more than any other pic I've ever done. And it shows. I hope JKR likes it!



This one was drawn for ... oh crap, I forget which fest, but it was for Ghot, and it's Snupin. I'm very happy with the inking on this one. Not perfect, but better than I've managed to do before.

I was so pleased and thrilled to be asked to do the banner art for the Snarry Games!!! I balked when I realized that they didn't want me to draw Harry and Snape, but instead ANIMALZ! Uh ... I don't DO animals! Well, I do now!
I'd say I was proud to be asked to do the art for hp_beholder but I kind of strong-armed my way into that gig! :D



My Jimmy MacElroy Blades of Glory costume (complete with homemade teeth) I worked my ASS of on this, and aside from having an actual BUDGET for it, (and a body closer to Jimmy's) I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Lance was a hoot as Chazz too!

Here's a link to the title page of my Blades Of Glory Graphic fic. I'm 19 panels in, with probably 3-5 more to go. I still need to organize them so they all link together, but man, i've had a blast doing them! I also LOVE that I can totes see massive improvements, from the first few to the latest ones. I plan to do a Snarry one next!

I dunno. I have a very vocal and generous flist, so nothing really feels like it didn't get attention, but people didn't keel over ded due to the amazingness of Snape's face here, and really, I think it deserves a LITTLE loss of conciousness, doesn't it?

My best pic of Harry yet. MY Harry, that is! You don't know what pressure is, until you try to draw your own child. No room for error here. I love the way this turned out.


This only took about 10 min. It's not great, it's certainly not my best, but I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. I don't even know why, but it makes me happy. (it is one of my first inks, which might have something to do with it, I dunno.)

I love that Dumbles, it's some amazingly expressive perfection, there!

I need to photograph my last tile for the project, do color correction in Photoshop if it's needed, and get the file sent.

You know, if I'd had to guess, I would have thought ... fifty? Maybe sixty? i was a bit surprised to go back through my hard drive and see that. (and really, the last two months were almost exclusively spent on the graphic novel, which is ... 3 - 9 pics per page.)

And yes, aside from 'Guh' type feedback, nothing makes me happier than seeing improvement!
