Quincey woke up yesterday and decided he wanted me to make him a costume.

Cool! I said. Dragon? King? Fireman?

No. Mickey Mouse.

Except, of course, he wants like ... Disney park quality costume, not homemade crap costume. *sigh*

Anyhoo, I had my first go at paper mache, and uh ... it was kind of fun!

I still have to cut out the eye-holes and paint the mouth, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Quincey, of course, wants to make it so the mouth moves when he talks. (i won't even get into how he thinks there should be a speaker hidden somewhere so Mickey's voice will come out when he talks.)

I want a SNAPE HEAD--dont' show up in SF without it! And I want it to say, "Bend over, Potter!'. Honestly, you're setting yourself up for some big expectations when they get older... Mummm...can you make my peen bigger with that thar papier mache stuff?

I love your brain so much!

You really should get a medal for being one of the coolest moms ever. I hope Quincey will show his appreciation with lots and lots of hugs and kisses =)

Wow, so, that's the difference between you and me. When my kid wants a costume, I have NO IDEA what to do. He winds up putting a blanket or a headband or something on his head and talking a lot to explain what it is.

I love the little pants on this one. Geez. Clever!

Wow! Zack was constantly asking me to make him a costume of someone or another. After staring at him for several minutes with my eyes rolling in my head whenever he would ask, he now asks if I would please go to Wal-Mart and buy him a costume, or order it from the internet. LOL! I am the least crafty person EVER! You, however, are full of Crafty Win!

p.s., I finally got to watch BoG, and I have to say, it was hilarious! Jimmy was just soo cute!

Thanks! I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. I think I did it too thin though. I was afraid of making it too heavy, but I don't think this will put up with much abuse before it breaks.

Well, one of them already has an obscenely huge peen. The other one ... well ... he'll have to work on his tongue exercises. ;p

Ha! I would totes make a Snape head, but I don't think it would pack well!

Hee! Thanks! He's actually pretty free and easy with the hugs and kisses. I'm lucky that way.

Ha! The pants are actually a pj top that was too small, so I cut off the arms and sewed the neck into shorts.

I'm not a good sewer, but I can rock a costume. As the saying goes; Good from far, but far from good.

I could never make something that would hold up in a washing machine, or over time, but if it's just for a costume party or for playing, I'm pretty good.

Halloween is my fav holiday!

But hey, YOU COOK! All sorts of yummy stuff! I make supper and stuff, but don't really bake or anything. I'm sure your little guy will have all sorts of great memories of his mama cooking for him. (Jewish much? ;) )

YAY FOR BoG!! Watch out, it creeps up on you. I thought it was okay when I first saw it, but then I watched it again and again, and now I'm sooo hooked.

I'm not really crafty in the traditional way. No pot holders or ceramic ashtrays here. Mostly just costumes.

Your kids will be convinced, I'm quite sure. Not always consistent about remembering, though, if I recall my own youth. *g*

Also, I don't really think your own mother has a vote, anymore. *g* If she does, it's only 'cuz you've given her line item veto. Which you can take away at any time, it's a rule of motherhood, I heard. You giveth then you taketh away. Hee. It's like this - once you become a mom, you are ranked equal to your own. Only thing she's got is wisdom from age, but as anyone knows, times, they are a changin', so her wisdom is outdated. *nods*

I know shit, really, as I have never been a mom, but this is how I always thought it should be. I'm sure my own mother felt the same way about hers, and so on...
