My cos-play kid
Mar. 24th, 2009 10:55 pmQuincey woke up yesterday and decided he wanted me to make him a costume.
Cool! I said. Dragon? King? Fireman?
No. Mickey Mouse.
Except, of course, he wants like ... Disney park quality costume, not homemade crap costume. *sigh*
Anyhoo, I had my first go at paper mache, and uh ... it was kind of fun!
I still have to cut out the eye-holes and paint the mouth, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Quincey, of course, wants to make it so the mouth moves when he talks. (i won't even get into how he thinks there should be a speaker hidden somewhere so Mickey's voice will come out when he talks.)

Date: 2009-03-26 02:23 am (UTC)I'm not a good sewer, but I can rock a costume. As the saying goes; Good from far, but far from good.
I could never make something that would hold up in a washing machine, or over time, but if it's just for a costume party or for playing, I'm pretty good.
Halloween is my fav holiday!
But hey, YOU COOK! All sorts of yummy stuff! I make supper and stuff, but don't really bake or anything. I'm sure your little guy will have all sorts of great memories of his mama cooking for him. (Jewish much? ;) )
