tripperfunsterHubby went to Toronto for a couple of days, and took Harrison with him, so I brought Quincey to work with me tonight. On the ride there (about a half hour) he wanted to listen to his Mp3 player.
He is five. We listened to Highway to Hell, Yazz, MASTER AND SERVANT *snerk* and some freaky pimped out version of Cotton Eyed Joe. I drove while he chair-danced in his car seat. He is convinced that rock bands have VOLCANOS on stage. you know, to shoot out the fire works.
Then, at work, we were out of fancy schmancy timothy hay rabbit food, so a young tween type girl asked me if the same brand of timothy hay food for Chinchillas would be okay for her rabbit. I checked the ingredients, and basically, it's made out of (you guessed it) timothy hay, plus some wheat and other rabbity type stuff, so I said Sure, why not?
Well, her mother called a half hour later and basically accused me of TRYING TO KILL HER RABBIT! How could I sell a CHILD the wrong food for the wrong animal????eleventy Don't I know that it's 16% protein?? That could KILL a rabbit! Maybe for a breeding rabbit, but a regular rabbit should never have anything more than 14% protein!
I went and checked out our other alfalfa brand of rabbit food (made by Hagen, like the largest manufacturer of pet products in like ... the world) And guess what? 16% protein.
When I pointed out to her, that our main selling rabbit food was 16% protein, and um ... yeah, if it killed rabbits, I probably would have heard about before today.
DON'T YOU KNOW THAT RABBITS HAVE VERY SENSITIVE DIGESTIVE SYSTEMS???
She was going to return that food and was going to take her business elsewhere. I gave her the verbal equivalent of a shrug, and she got even more upset and demanded to know my name. God, I hope she complains TO THE BOSS. Oh wait, that's meeee. *g*
Oh, and while I'm bitching here ... Dude? When I'm trying to catch some very quick fish, it is NOT HELPFUL for you to stand there and point and say "There it is! That one! Oh! Almost! There! Catch it!! Oh man! That was close! Oooh! Right there!!"
That will not get you your fish any faster. It will, however, get you a roundhouse kick to the face.
And when you ask me a question, and I give you an answer, you saying "Really? Are you sure?" multiple times will not get me to change my answer. And when you ask me how much something costs, and then say "Really? Wow, that's expensive!" multiple times, will not get me to give it to you cheaper. I price shop all the time, and I know our prices are very good. (not to mention that it was Buy one Get one Free fish day)
Note to self: When you have a short timeline on art (due to your own faffing around) do NOT try a new technique! Especially one that requires like ... way more time and effort that A FUCKING TRIED AND TRUE PENCIL would.
Oh, AND IT'S FUCKING SNOWING HERE! LIKE ... A LOT! fuck you, weather, fuck you without lube.
