Well, THAT was fun!

We're in Toronto visiting the 'rents, but decided to go to Niagara Falls overnight, to go to the Gawdawful tourist traps, eat crappy food and stay at Great Wolf Lodge, which has a large waterpark.

Of course, we are at the waterpark for about half an hour before Harrison BREAKS HIS LEG in the wave pool. Well, okay, it's not broken for sure, but the Dr. thinks it probably is. We spent most of the night in the E.R, and then another four hours the next morning with a specialist. *sigh*

It would seem that kids have crack-like growth plates in their leg bones, and it is difficult to tell if there is a break right in that area, but due to the extreme swelling and amount of pain, the Dr. decided to 'assume the worst' and treat it as a break. Three separate sets of x-rays were inconclusive.

It was a pretty shitty thing to happen on vacation, but I must say, five hours in the late night E.R. makes you pretty damn grateful that it's the only thing that's wrong. There were certainly people that were much worse off than us.

Harry's in a full leg brace until we get home and another specialist can take a look at him. Aside from the initial screaming and bellyaching, he's holding up pretty well.

And I have to say, accioslash the big Niagara Falls arcade just wasn't as fun without you and Al! *sniff*

OH NO! Thats terrible! I hope he's all right. UGH to break your leg in a water park, how shitty. All the greedy people down here in GA would try to sue the place and get millions for something that was no ones fault.

I hope his leg doesnt bother him too much! Maybe back home the specialist will say its not broken and he wont have to wear that crappy cast!

Ha! Yeah, it did occur to me that a lot of people would sue. Don't get me wrong, if they had been negligent, I would have no prob doing that, but nah, it was just one of those things. He twisted one way, the wave twisted him the other. But yes, the entire world is a bit lawsuit crazy, that's for sure.

And we go to see the specialist today, so cross your fingers!

OMG!! The poor baby! I hope he isn't in pain too badly. What a horrible thing to happen. But if nothing else, he has something to brag about, since kids have that thing about showing off their injuries. LOL!

Thank you! He was much better as soon as they put on the brace to stabilize it. We're going to another doctor today, so hopefully we'll find something out.

Aww poor kid :/ It always seemed to me breaking a limb is a weird thing you have to go through in growing up though O_O A lot of my friends broke..something between like age 5 and 11 xD

But it sucks balls it happened on your vacation and ugh going to the ER for ANYTHING sucks ass D:

On a positive note, YAY NIAGARA FALLS!! That's one of my favorite places as you probably know xD Too bad you didn't go on a weekend I had free I'd have run to my car and driven over xD (6 hours, but still!)

Good news is, he's feeling pretty good, and it's barely slowing him down. I just hope he won't need a cast all summer, because dude! Swimming! Bike ridiing! whaaaa!
