Sulu/Chekov art for Templemarker

Oooh, the trek_exchange is so fun! (and I'm only 3 days late to the party)

templemarker asked for Sulu and his grandfather from the book Kobiashi Maru (no, not as a pairing!!). Sadly, I had no time to find/read that book (although I might have to in the future), so I went with her second choice of Sulu/Chekov.

I'm not super thrilled with the shading on Chekov's face, but honestly, I could faff around with this for ten more days and still not be happy. I love how his shirt turned out though, and thanks so much to the gals at artbeta for the imput! <3

Here's a question: If Kirk + Spock = Kock, does Sulu + Chekov = Sukov? I hope so!

1. Because I am an enormous dork, I have that book. In arms' reach, even.

2. I don't think the shading is so bad--he looks a little tired, maybe, but also trusting, so.

We had some hilarious HP ones going at Infinitus. Of course, I can remember NONE of them, because it is late, and I am not clever that way.

I'll have to ask themostepotente, she was coming up with the funniest ones.

And yes, Chekov is tired. TOO MUCH GAI SMEXINGS. (not that you can ever have too much, mind ...)
