Whoot! We survived Xmas!

Actually, Christmas was okay, it was the lead up that was killer!

Both kids still FIRMLY believe in Santa Clause, so that makes things extra tricky fun.

Quincey had originally asked Santa for an Ace Frehley costume and a banjo.

I kid you not. They boy really goes to the beat of his own drummer. Then, two days before xmas, he had a panic attack, because there were other things that he forgot to ask Santa for, so my husband the enabler wrote up a new letter with him and raced to the post office to priority post it to the north pole. The addendum? And iCarly microphone and a box of Pizza Pops.

My other son wanted a snow board and an Xbox 360. When did my 7 year old become a teenager? *sob*

So, here's the costume:

If you look closely, you can see the box of Pizza pops on the deck. We was pretty pumped when he saw them out there. *g*

I rocked the Star Trek gifts from hubby. The movie box sets, the TOS box sets and the ANIMATED SERIES how cool is that?

Complete with lens flare!

I also get a set of Tim Horton's mugs, a set of Disney mugs (yeah, I like tea, what of it?) plus some great stocking stuffers of earphones and a pedometer.

My ontd star trek seekrit santa sent me the CUTEST little Kirk and Gorn figurines. CHECK OUT HIS RIPPED SHIRT AND NIPPLE!! the tinfoil ball is my impromptu styrofoam rock.

And because you would all be disappointed if I didn't:

I got hubby an iPhone, so accessories for it and a FRYING PAN. He asked! He is the pancake maker of the house, so I guess he wanted the proper equipment.

Best gift? Gift certificate for art supplies from my mom. (although the Trek stuff Rocked!)
Worst gift? nothing too bad this year. I did get a very nice (and probably expensive) Christmas sweater that is really better suited for someone 30 years older than me. I wore it anyway. What the hell, it's Xmas, right?

HOW ABOUT YOU???

[identity profile] gmonkey42.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, your family rules!

That Gorn looks mighty pleased with himself! XD

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
GORN IS VERY PLEASED! What a hilarious expression, eh?

I don't know if my family rules, but we have a good time!

1. Mum has snarry legos. They might have to be naughty.
2. What are PIZZA POPS? I am both intrigued and horrified. And I might need some. They will join the pantheon of foods that I buy but ought not to, along with Jalapeno Poppers and Bagelfuls.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
You've not heard of Pizza Pops? They're by Pillsbury, and I'm sure you must have them down there. because the States is like a fuckin' cess pool of processed crap-food

In fact, they are usually RIGHT BESIDE THE BAGELFULS. Quincey would seriously eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, if we let him.

And if you think, for one second, that your mum has not already done dirty things with her Snarry legos, then you don't know her very well, do you?

[identity profile] amand-r.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
When I gave her the snarry legos, TBF, I'd already fastened snape's crotch to harry's arse, and I think they just stayed that way.

I must find PIZZA POPS.

[identity profile] euclase.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
*dies laughing*

... *at all of it*

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
Wut? Doesn't everyone dress up like KISS for Christmas?

[identity profile] outofthisplace.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
OMG KIRK AND GORN ASKJFZLE SQUEE!!!

(Its even better because I am sitting here in A TOS DRESS I HAVE JUST HAND SEWN BECAUSE I COULDNT WAIT TO HAVE ROOM IN MY ROOM FOR MY SEWING MACHINES. AND NEW BOOTS TO MATCH. YAY STAR TREK!!!!!)

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!

And yeah, the Kirk/Gorn figs are EPIC! They're kind of like Lego, but ... way more detailed and move-able. And the torn shirt? I think I came.

[identity profile] outofthisplace.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I HAVE NOT SERGERED IT UP YET so there are not yet official pics (just shoddy mirror-pics with the hand sewn ness) BUT YOU CAN BET YOUR AUNT FANNY THERE WILL BE.

LOL those plushies are so great. Also, Mythbusters just covered the bamboo cannon from the gorn episode so there's been a lot of that going around.

[identity profile] kittehkat.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
lol, Quincey. What an awesome kid. You know what's going to be great later? Dragging these photos out when he's older to embarrass him in front of strangers. Bahaha. Great sewing skills, too, by the way!

HA. The expressions on your dolls were clearly suited for the nefarious purpose you disposed them to.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
When he's older? Dude, I can totally embarass him NAOW! ;)

[identity profile] sra-danvers.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
OMG! I loved the figurines. We had a meet with my fangirls, and we played the same way with HP figurines XD It was so funny!

I loved when my daugthers were younger and believe in Santa... Or in three Kings, who celebrate here.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Three Kings? That's cool! Do they bring presents, like Santa, or only like... frankinsense and murr? ;)

How old are your girls?

[identity profile] sra-danvers.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Ten and Twelve, but their birthdays are close to come.

Yeah, a lot of presents, my card is smoking XD Dammed royalty!

[identity profile] synn.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
ahaha, the figurines are awesome. They make me miss college, where we used to make my friend's gaming figurines do naughty things : )

And hurray for star trek and more art supplies (or money for it), etc.!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
What? You acted immaturely whilst at college? FOR SHAME!!

and yeah, YAY FOR ART SUPPLIES!

[identity profile] chocolate-frapp.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Well, technically, they are a brand name, and therefore capitalized, but yeah, Pizza Pops.

Are you not aquainted with this processed shit? And their horrible ads?

[identity profile] droxy.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
No, just sounds like blood pops...

The Kiss costume is just too cute.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! They are more like a calzone than a lollypop.

[identity profile] droxy.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
http://interactive.cossette.com/awards/AAQ2008/PizzaPops/index.html

Ok yes, likr pizza rolls but differnt.

Apparently these things Explode or the idea is to get them to explode. XD So it appears you have some Death Eaters in training. =)

[identity profile] stupid-drawings.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Your child's love of Kiss is nothing short of beautiful.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
It's almost up there with your love of bacon! :D

[identity profile] antisocial-nerd.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a pretty good christmas!!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
We had fun! It's always more fun with kids around.

[identity profile] ghost-eye.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Looks like you got yourself a good haul!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, I was a veeerrrrrrrrry good girl! ;)

[identity profile] 1scout.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Me, Hubby and Zack spent the early hours of Christmas in the ER coz I tripped over a Christmas decoration box. I was getting xrays and pumped up on painkillers. I fractured a bone in my elbow.
Other than that, Christmas rocked. of course, I was buzzed on the painkillers, so anything could have happened and I'd have had a great time! LOL!
I'm glad you and your family had a good one.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
OMG that's terrible! Thank goodness it wasn't something more serious, but what a crappy time to get hurt!

Was it a total zoo there? Or was the ER pretty calm?

[identity profile] 1scout.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It was actually very empty. We were there at about midnight, and got back home around an hour and a half later.

[identity profile] joanwilder.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
That costume is teh criznap! And how priceless is it that he realized he'd not sent a complete list?! And that you raced to the post office? Ninja mom, that's what you are.

I'm glad you got such...appropriate pressies! Suck up on the sweater, kid, cause the Trek stuff and moola for art supplies rocks!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2009-12-28 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, *I* did not race to the post office, his FATHER did.

Part of being super mom is crushing thier little dreams! ;D

Needless to say, the sweater was from the same peeps as the acid wash jean jacket. And seriously, it's a beautiful sweater. Just not .... me.

[identity profile] verdenia.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds pretty full of awesomesauce. I had a really nice xmas; and we agreed to not do sibling-gifts this year, which took a lot of pressure off. :D
