Quest for Improvement pic

Well, it's almost my one year anniversary!!! (of drawing, that is!) I began last November, and of course, because I have terrible timing, I did this QFI (quest for improvement) a full month before the actual anniversary. *sigh*

I must say, this is THE most overdrawn pic of Snapey, but hey, I was new to fandom, and no one is paying me to be original! :D

Wow have you come a long way! The hand alone shows so much progress, not to mention the overall expressivness you were trying to capture in the first one but nailed in the second. Great contrast! In February, maybe I'll do something like this; redo my first Lucius drawing for comparison!

Wow! What a huge difference! The shading is actually THERE in the new pic, lol. Not that you didn't have obvious skills last year, but you've really super-honed them. Congratulations! Really, you're awesome!

Wow. That's really quite a difference. The shading certainly, but the hand is so much more well-developed now. And the clothing! In the first picture it appears that Severus' head is just floating (invisibility cloak, anyone?), but the picture is complete now. Though I love Snape's eyes and nose from 05.

Thanks Accio! The /05 pic has no shoulders because I was trying to be stylistic (ie. lazy). :D

I'd say that has been my biggest hurdle to jump. I'm just a really, lazy person when it comes to small details. And obviously, in art, it's ALL about the details. thanks for the lovely comments!
