Here is my second installment to go with joanwilder's fic The Sensible Garden. Chapter One can be found here: http://joanwilder.livejournal.com/53453.html and you can link to later chapters if you've already read that one.

This was my second attempt at watercolour pencils, so be kind. There are lots of things I'd like to change about it, but alas, those pencils do not erase, so I'll chalk it up to a learning experience.

Seriously though, this is orgeous, simply gorgeous! You may see things you want to change (that's normal enough for an artist to nitpick one's own work) but it's honestly quite perfect as is.

The colors! Her eyes are so blue! And Harry islooking good aged up a bit.

i can't think of a thing you'd want to do to it.

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm really happy with how Winnie turned out (especially because I generally work in black and white) The skin tones were a real challenge.

I'm not really happy with Harry (no finesse in those lines, but meh, like I said, it's a learning experience) and the flowers behind her back blend in too much to the background. Again, meh. I generally NEVER go back and fix things. I just move on to the next one! :D

This is just beautiful - simply beautiful.

I love how absolutely beautiful and precious Winnie looks. I also love Harry's casual stance - he looks rather proud of the lovely little Miss Weasley.

I must admit (although I hope this won't spoil things for others) that when I opened this post, it made me weepy all over again. It is a fitting and lovely tribute for the child who melted Snape's heart.

I still love this one Tripp - even though it makes me sniffle (what a story! it's a rare writer that can make me cry!)! Her eyes are absolutely perfect - and exactly how I picture Winnie's eyes to be - with juuust enough mischief in them ;-)

Oh, you have such a talent for drawing children. You manage to capture their innocence and sweetness so well. They look like angels. And Winnie looks exactly as I pictured her - fair, a little chubby and a lot mischievous. And Uncle Harry looks so proud...
