Haaaaah! I sense a fetish! XD Also, Metro Man's expressions in the last couple of these have been killing me. :P

Thanks! He's harder to ... emote, with that huge chin and small eyes, but I think I'm finally getting the hang of him.

Thanks for lookin' hon!

[livejournal.com profile] r_grayjoy tipped me off to these and I've just caught up on them all. As happens, I just saw the film on my plane back from Los Angeles and absolutely adored it -- and this? OMG...you have them both (well, all three counting Minion) down pat. I cannot tell you how brilliant this comic is. :)

:D ISN'T THE MOVIE GREAT?? I didn't even want to see it, as I've had some pretty damn MEH experiences with Will Ferrell movies, but it was a kids' movie, and I had my son with me, so we did.

OMG! I"m not sure why it struck such a chord with me, but I was instantly in love. Great characters, I guess. And amazing animation. I generally don't like 3D movies OR computer generated humans, but this was so fun.

I'm glad you're enjoying the comic! It has been such a great learning experience for me. I'm doing it all without any references, so it's really making me stretch as an artist.

It was amazing. It was on the plane on the way home and I was bored so I figured what the hell, but I had the same reservations as you. I either love Will Ferrell films or hate them, and I'm not to big on Brad Pitt and I can't stand Jonah Hill in anything, but like I said, I was stuck on a plane for six hours and bored, so figured I'd try it and if it was bad, I'd just read or go to sleep.

Imagine my surprise when I was totally blown away by it. It was really cute and really clever and I loved all the characters. I'm much more about hand-drawn animation than computer animated stuff and luckily it wasn't in 3-d on the plane (was it in the theatre?) so I didn't have to deal with that.

I think it was just so well written and the characters so engaging that it grabbed me, plus the way it played with comic book tropes/cliches. I'm loving your comic and I meant to say that when I saw the film, I picked up a slashy vibe between Megamind and Metro Man and I rarely pick up on that. LOL

anyway, keep up the brilliant work! It's fantastic. :)
