GISHWHES 25 Firemen!
Nov. 20th, 2012 08:55 amCalendar item: A photo of a scantily clad fireman (or firemen) whose skimpy attire is made entirely from kale. Model must be posing in front of a fire truck. Bonus points if, behind him, water is shooting up into the air from a hose or hydrant.

:D Now this one took some doing!
During the hunt, I was constantlyharassing questioning everyone I knew/met about the items. I needed a pilot, an Olympic Gold Medalist, a fireman and a military officer. (more on some of those later).
Last year, when Quincey played hockey, one of his coaches was a fireman, so I called him up to ask. I actually only got a hold of his wife, but she thought it was hilarious and told me that she'd MAKE him do it. :D Unfortunately, his Chief wouldn't allow it. Apparently there had been some sort of scandal recently at one of the fire halls (not his) where firemen were doing BAD things, like sleeping with women and taking photos and such while on the clock, and he didn't need to stir up any trouble there. So back to square one.
I had basically decided to just sew some skimpy kale outfits and just go around to different fire halls and BEG, when it occured to me that there was a very small fire hall in the town that I live close to. It's a volunteer department, but hey, that's still firemen!
I know one of the people that volunteers there, but just on a 'nod and wave as you pass by' basis, but hey! That's better than not knowing them at all! And even cooler, she is a FIREWOMAN! So I went there, and she happened to be there! (volunteer departments are not manned. The staff are just on call, so it's not like people are there 24/7). She was preparing for a safety class that night, and when I read her the prompt, she immediately said CAN A WOMAN DO IT? :D
We set up a time for that evening (right before the class that she would be teaching) and I called a friend of mine to come and pose as a second firefighter. He's a pretty crazy guy and I knew he'd pull through for me. :D
Then I spent the afternoon sewing kale onto a bikini and a pair of boxer shorts. ;) (note: kale does not sew well.)
Both people were tremendous sports, and didn't even complain when I was strategically pinning kale around their private bits.
