Have at least six men in miliatry, police or fire uniforms holding you over their heads as you sunbathe on your beach chair.

Ham it up, guys! )

This one was one of my last-minute rush jobs. I do know a fireman, but I couldn't find his number, so I'd taken my name off the list of to-do's for this one. But then, on the second last day of the hunt, this item was still up for grabs, so I stopped at the dollar store to find a beach chair. They didn't have any, but had this blow up lounge thingy, so I grabbed it and stopped at the closest fire hall.

The guys were AMAZING! I gave my spiel to the nice fellow who OPENED THE DOOR FOR ME, and he was all Yeah! Let's do this! Oh wait, I've got to ask the Captain. I talked to the Captain, and he was all YEAH! Let's do this! :D

They found me a hat, pulled out the RED fire truck (they had yellow ones, but thought the red one would look nicer for the photo) and joked and laughed and mugged for the camera. One of them (the guy at the front making the duck lips) kept insisting that they should all take off their shirts for it!! :D So funny!!

All in all, it took about 10 minutes, but ended up being one of my favourite photos. And Canadian flag! Hosers REPRESENT!!

Item #34

A roach retirement home. Must have live cockroaches in it and must be sized to their scale, for their comfort and enjoyment.

Gross )

We don't carry hissing cockroaches, so I had to call around to find these. And can I say? UGH! Absolutely disgusting. I handle crickets and mealworms and superworms on a regular basis, and people always squirm and grimace and ask how I can put my hands into pails of bugs and I just kind of shrug. No biggie. Hell, I handle tarantulas and THEY don't hold a candle to these things. They're all ... scuttling and clingie! They have little pokey legs that GRAB you when you touch them. *shudder* Seriously. Just DO NOT WANT.

I am very much a 'live and let live' kind of gal, but these guys went DIRECTLY into the freezer when I was done this, and the next morning I fed them to my chickens. *shudders moar*
