Dumpster Pool Party
Aug. 31st, 2013 06:17 pmItem #41 Have a pool party with at least three guests swimming. In this case, your 'pool' shall be made from a large garbage can or dumpster. The party must also include towels, a BBQ, cocktails and floatation devices. All three people must be in the 'pool.'
( twistin' by the pool )
I signed up for this one because we rent a dumpster for our pet store. And sadly ... it's a dumpster for a pet store, so ... yeah, pretty gross.
A wracked my brain as to how we could retro-fit it with some sort of ... liner or something so we could have water that couldn't give us e-coli, but couldn't think of anything heavy duty enough to hold the weight of the water and still not show up in the photo.
AND THEN I REALIZED: We have a really big water trough for our horses!! It's black and fits juuuust inside the dimensions of the dumpster! :D We put some pallets underneath it to make it high enough, then filled it with comfy warm water and viola! Pool party!
I didn't have a bbq handy, so I went to a neighbouring house and asked the owner if we could borrow his bbq for a photograph. He didn't speak English well, and answered that he didn't have a camera. :D I said, No, barbeque! Can I borrow your bbq? He was all: Yeah! Go ahead! :D Yay people!!
The extra people are one of my employees (in the pool with me) and her mom and brother and his respite worker, plus my son Quincey. They were great sports. We actually had a pretty lovely time! :D
