This seriously looks a hundred times better in rl, but I took a ton of pics of it and they all look like crap. Much more photographic in rl. Anyhoo, I'm really happy with it. My brain is still churning around the thought of making something WAY bigger ....

damn! I've done a fair bit of beadwork and embroidery over the years; this is some amazing stuff!

love to know where you got that many different shades of size-identical beads -- that shit is had to find in the city, much less where I live...

I haven't posted on asceml in ages... last time I tried I got stuck in moderation and kind of gave up. And google f'ed up Google groups.

And I still can't finish stories in multiple parts. Either I stay up all bloody night writing or it ends up unfinished. Poo.

I've only ever done one with more than one part, in print. can't do WIP's though cos I change things too much.

yow yow!! not to worry, am droppin' offline 4 a few days -- lack of $, doncha know. back soon! my last couple ascem posts never got thru so I gave up too. *shrug* who cares. was fun then, now? meh...

only multiparter I've done was morning dew, and that was cos it needed breaking up to make sense. poo indeed.

oh well, got a nice full tum right now and a warm dry house an' firewood, power, food -- could be a lot worse, yeah?

found a fun new toy btw -- wraithait, the sga slashfic/etc. archive. lots of lovely mcshep for me to enjoy, woohoo!

hopefully have downloaded enuff vids to survive the temporary drought, but ew, still not fun.

Thank you! I live in a pretty small city, so yeah, I think I was lucky to find a place with such a good inventory. The store is called 'Creating, craft and school supply.' The owner is an older woman, so I highly doubt they are on line, but you could check. They're in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The loom was purchased on line at beadlooms.com. http://www.beadlooms.com/

They make bigger looms too, but I didnt' know how well it would go, so I didn't want to intimidate myself too much. I got the one that is 97 threads wide, and the price was reasonable. I forget exactly, but around $40, and I find it very easy to thread and use.

I started on a smaller loom, but I am one of those people who is GO BIG OR GO HOME types, so yeah.

If my past is any indicator, I'll make five more things, then quit and try something completely different.
