Fear not! I haven't fallen into any vampire loving camps, but a girl who often watches me draw during Quincey's hockey practice asked if I would give her art lessons. I thought I'd do a crayon tutorial with her (since it worked so well with the Snape fen at the conventions) but I figured, since she's 13, Twilight would thrill her more. Turns out I should have done Justin Beiber. :D

Anyhoo, I wanted to make sure that *I* could colour him before I taught her to.




She did quite well, btw, considering she's done very little drawing. On Friday I'm going to work on cartooning with her.

And yes, I've never tried paint, so I assume I"d suck at it, and Watercolours are beyond my skill set.

Maybe Reid all up over a desk in the FBI HQ. Oh man.. I think I might have dreamed that scenario two nights ago, actually. I seriously think whomever wrote the character of Reid and all subsequent episodes is a slash writer, because he's written way to effeminate for a cop drama. Just saying...

Painting is one of the few mediums I'm decent at. I'm with you on watercolour. I find that is NO ONE'S skill set. :(

Thanks! Honestly? It's a bit hard keeping it ... G rated! :D I've only done a couple of tutorials, but they were to large groups of HP fen. :D

I also need to keep in mind, that just because *I* was out of control at 13, doesn't mean most kids are. She is really sweet, and SO excited to learn. Her mom called me to see what kind of art supplies she should pick up for her for xmas.

Seeing as you are becoming an art teacher (holy crapfest!) are there any weekly groups that are still active? PeenLulz and Hump_day_smut both seem to have died and I would like to start drawing again but deadlines give me motivation.

Sadly, Hump_day_smut is done. There just wasn't enough artist interest to keep it going.

Same with PeenLulz, although I could see that getting together again, perhaps in the new year. That was fun.

There's certainly no lack of fests on right now. Sign up for something and/or put your name in the ring as a pinch hitter. I've been asked to pinch three times this month already!
