Y hallo thar 2012! Whatever shall the new year bring?? I have a new hankering to try scratch boarding, I have plans for a GIANT bead 'installation' and of course, wrapping up my Fish Cakes Comic. I also have plans for a Snarry comic, but I think I need to take a wee comic break first. I've also been main-lining episodes of OZ (oh god, so many fucked up, yummy men!!) and been lurking around the Captain Amercia/Iron Man comm, but have yet to draw or post anything in either fandom. But enough about the future, lets talk about 2011!

2011 brought pastels on black paper, pencil crayons on black and brown paper and *gasp* DRAWING WITHOUT REFERENCES! Wow, that right there is something I never thought I'd be able to do. I drew 135 pictures (not including doodles and drawbles) and wait for it ... 81 pages of Crab Nuggets and Fish Cakes comics! That's a lot of drawing! :D

I had to draw this one twice, because the first one didn't turn out, but I'm beyond happy with how this one turned out. Pastels on black paper rock so hard!

I really didn't do much with pencils this year, instead spending a lot of time with colour, but this pic that I drew for Alisanne made me pull out the old 2b, and I'm glad I did!

Beads! Beads! Beads! So time consuming, but so cool!!


This was my first venture into black paper pastels and I was giddy with joy with how it turned out.

Biggest Surprise

This was a mini-comission for Demicus, and it took like ... 20 min? I was shocked at how quickly and smoothly it all went together. Man, if HALF my art came that easily, I'd go pro.


Actually, the art wasn't a surprise, but the wonderful reception that the fic recieved was both mind boggling and heart warming! Only on the internet would you have people jumping to beta a fic with Man/Platypus sounding, but also get so many lovely comments from readers who not only don't judge, but say that they thought it was hot. *hugs internet*
Link to fic I don't write that often, but it is always very rewarding when I do.

Least appreciated Well, I already lamented about my lack of t-shirt making finesse, so that's enough bitching about that. :D

Thanks! Hee! I can't imagine sharing most of my stuff with my kids, but of course, they're only 8 and 9 right now. I only hide the porn, not the romantic slashy stuff, but they are clueless as to why I always make people kiss, when they HATE each other! :D
