Whee! I"m really happy with how this turned out, aside from the fact that I drew this on my 'practice' sheet, meaning I cut a nice big sheet of paper to draw my actual picture on, and used the smaller, oddly cut piece to try out my scratch tool and get a feel for it.

CAN YOU GUESS ON WHICH PIECE THIS WAS DRAWN? Yup. Not by mistake. My 'practice' doodle turned out so well that I just kept going.

The good news is I have a nice big fresh paper to make a new drawing on!

I'm not sure if I'll finish his scarf, or leave it vague like that. Thoughts? Edited to add finished scarf

BTW: Reference photo came from a fantastic photographer on dA. http://nullermanden.deviantart.com/gallery/

AWESOME! It turned out really well! (Aren't they FUN?)

I'd finish it, but that's me. It looks fine the way it is. :D

Finish the scarf.

This really did turn out well. I'd be afraid to ruin it by finishing the scarf. But you are fearless. ♥

He looks quite Einsteinian to me. :)
Great job!

Ah, I can see that he's not Einstein now. I still say the first part you posted looked like him though.

A fascinating study, indeed—quite beautiful. Yes, I'd finish the scarf (you'll know how much detail to add so it doesn't take away from the man's face).

That's a positively gorgeous piece of art! It's great without the scarf, but I feel like maybe the negative space is too... Negative? Does that make any sense to you?

I think your next scratch piece should be some Criminal Minds Reid/Morgan hotness. Whatwhat! :D

Oh wow, Tripp. The detail on that is amazing; it's almost photographic, in a good way.

Thanks! Yes, it was totally fun! I'm dying to try it again. And yeah, you were right, I finished it.

I don't know about fearless. Apathetic, perhaps. :D

Scarf is finished. I just wish I'd done it on bigger paper, so that there's be a bit more black around him, to show off the white. Oh well, next time!

They're too pretty for scratch board. I really do think I'll draw them eventually. (or perhaps just Spencer, as I really have a thing for him. Morgan is gorgeous, but Spencer, as you said, has that whole virgiin innocence thing going on.

Is there a bad way to be photographic? ;)

It actually looks much better in person. The white parts have a cool metallic sheen to them, and the entire image is much crisper. *shrug* Oh well, next time!

I'm loving the texture in his scarf. It's the perfect finishing touch!

I like the fact that there's not a lot of black around him. This way it's zoom lens focus, & one of the best character sketches I've had the pleasure of staring at! *still happily amazed*
