Seriously, it can't be as hard as I'm making it. .... can it?
Kickin' it old school with the halftones bbs!

And here it is before the halftone filter.

Please excuse my completely bastardized version of Cap's uniform. It's a kludge between movie!verse, comic!verse and myhead!verse.

I bought some Yupo paper, thinking it would be great to ink on.

I WUZ WRONG. At least, it didn't turn out, and I ended up using regular ol' sketch pad paper. *sad face* Good thing Yupo paper isn't crazy expensive. ... oh, wait ....

That looks AMAZING! Have you thought of taking your regular art subjects and turning them into classic comic book style men? I could see Snape as a comic book villain. Or hero, like V.

P.s. what is Yupo??

Ooh, that would be fun! And I'm really trying to practice my comic 'inking', and it would be fun to try that on the Snarry boyz.

Yupo is a type of paper, that is actually ... plastic? It's made for watercolour, but I thought it might work really well with ink.

I WUZ WRONG.

I like the look with the halftone filter. And I have no idea how hard it is, because while I enjoy inking in general these days, I've always been wary to get into comic book inking. It's way more intense to say the least, but I think you're getting the hang of it pretty quickly!

Thanks! I think my problem is that I'm a blendy, blendy gal, and you need to be able to carve out the shadows without being a wimp. ;)

I'm digging the heavy stylization, and the way you accentuate things like Cap's biceps, the hip joint of Tony's armor, and Cap's butt. The curve of their bodies together is lovely, too. The half-tone is nice, and interesting, but I prefer the other one. Partly because I like the orange gradient background better than the teal one.

The inking and the coloring are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you very much!

I'm very new to the concept of bold inking, but I'm really loving the brain stretch it's giving me. ;)

I like the orange background too, but with the halftones, the skin colours really leached into the bg, so I changed it.

One day I'll have to get off my ass and DRAW a background. :D

Thanks! This was my first time using Yupo, and I found that the ink just sort of remains ... wet and smudgy. *sigh*

Oh well. I"m sure I'll find SOME use for it!
