Things have been quiet around here, so I've decided to take the 100 things challenge.

I first saw DJ talking about it on her journal, and it seems like a pretty cool thing. However, since rl has been crazy lately, I didn't want to do something that would interfere with drawing, so instead of picking an actual SUBJECT, I'm just going to post something every day for 100 days. There will be art, porn, bitching, squee, porn, random photos of farm animals, maybe some fic and porn. Oh, did I mention porn already??? :D

Today's topic is COOL!

A friend has asked me to officiate at her wedding! I've never done this before, but yeah, why should that stop me? There is just a form to fill out, and voila! I can be a wedding commissionaire for a day. There is a longer, more involved form to fill out (with references, and basically a resume of volunteer work I may or may not have done) and I could be a PERMANENT one.

I'm not sure which one I should do. Once you are permanently registered, your name goes onto a list, and people can call you to officiate their weddings. Is this something I want to do? How often would people call?

Extra bonus, although my friend is straight, Manitoba allows gay marriage. I would love to officiate at a gay marriage! Ground-breaking baby!

I would totally go for the permanent one. ^_^ I can't imagine that you would get that many calls, but how neat to be able to do it whenever you wanted without any hassle?

Very true! And I suppose that I"m not obligated to marry everyone who calls ...? I'll have to look into it further.

I say do it permanently. You can always say no if you don't want to when they call, right? I always wanted to do that but I'm too nervous. Too serious for me. I giggled and made jokes during my own ceremony.

Oh God, me too! :D This wedding will be very informal, so I'm not worried. I guess I'm more worried about Bridezilla! (not my friend, but random peeps.)

You would probably be surprised at my list of volunteer stuff! Co-chair of the PTA at my kids school for five years! Plus a member (and chair) of a business association.

I don't think those free blow jobs I gave in highschool count ....

:D yeah, I gotta say, they kind of surprise me too! The business committee knew of my artistic drabbling, but I'm sure the PTA would have shit bricks if they'd known! ;)
