Day 39 Helmet!!!

Well, I learned something. Hot glue does not stick to car paint. Or, not very well, anyway. *sigh* Oh well. With the velcro enclosure, it now fits Quincey, but damn! It is hard to see out of. No wonder Tony has all those video feeds! Now that it's done, I see lots of problems with it, but considering it was a first try, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.





I'm also not thrilled with the paint colours. I went with 'metallic' but perhaps I should have chosen pearl. I wanted it to be shinier. But there wasn't exactly a way to try them out in the store. ;)

How about putting/spraying a clear coat over the whole thing -- can't think of the name of it? You know, like how clear polish makes nails shine but doesn't add any color?

The paint is for cars, so it really has a pretty shiny coat. I was really just wanting something that had more ... sparkle inbedded in it.

Thanks! I guess I just wanted it to be a bit more sparkly, and the 'gold' could be more gold, instead of ... champagne?

Hey! We watched Mission Impossible today, and I thought of you! Right at the beginning, one of my kids asked: Hey, is that guy the dude from Avengers? The guy with the arrows? I look, and no, it's just a guy with a similar haircut. then, TWO MINUTES LATER, there's the 'guy with the arrows!' I had no idea he was in this movie. Not enough forearms though ....

Damn. If hot glue doesn't stick to car paint, how will I ever get that Deadhead sticker to stay on my car? :¬) That helmet turned out very well. I'm impressed! There wasn't a way to test the colors out in the store? In Canadian Tire they used to let shoppers test out the spray paint colors (& I think they still do) if they were unsure (same with the car retouch paint).
