Carve a Jill o Lantern. Carve a pumpkin to look like a feminized Misha Collins. Bonus points for realism.

Now, many people on my flist are pretty damn amazing pumpkin carvers. I am not one of them. I think I *could* be, given some time and some pratice (and some tools that are not 1 old steak knife). That said, I'm pretty damn happy with how this turned out.

I also had to google Misha Collins, because I'm ashamed to say that I've never seen the show supernatural. I honestly couldn't pick him out of a lineup. If we win this scavenger hunt, I'll have to buy all 304958304 seasons and hardline them so I don't look like a no-nothing dork.

Ooooo... I LOVE Misha. In fact, I spent all last night fangirling all over the place during the new episode of Supernatural. You should tweet this to him. He'd eat this shit up.. (The dude is a little too versed in fanfic....)
Your pumpkin also reminds me of a mid-90s Brian Molko circa Placebo.

As for lack of carving, it's the only one I've done in ... 3 years? maybe 4? And I did it late at night when the kids were in bed. Not fair to them, really.

It wouldn't have occurred to me to carve away the parts you did, but now that I've seen it it seems so obvious! It would be a sunken negative the other way around, much better this way...

There's no pumpkin carving tradition in my part of the world so I'm not even a novice with these things, although I did attempt to make one 'traditional' jack-o-lantern by myself once with no instructions whatsoever (as I didn't have access to internet when I got the opportunity). It took forever, didn't look very impressive at all, was leaking all over the place and had grown mould the next day :(
