GISHWHES 55 Chickens can fly!

A man in a chicken suit in the pilot seat of a commercial jet.

This one (and the Olympic one) are my favs! Partly because I begged, borrowed and stole to find a contact for both. And if GISHWHES taught me anything (aside from "People will agree to anything") it's try, try, try and try again!
After having a couple of leads fall through (I really thought I needed a pilot for this) I asked a friend who's husband works in the airline food service for West Jet. He agreed! I worried about him getting in trouble, but he laughed and explained that he'd asked his boss, and his boss was cool with it!
West Jet is officially the coolest airline ever!
So, a way too expensive chicken costume later, and I got pics!*
*I didn't feel bad for buying the costume because I really paid little to nothing for everything else. A $20 sock monkey hat (which I'll wear lots), a couple of dollars worth of kale, some cheap tempura paints (that my kids will use) and a couple of file folders for my chicken filing system. Considering other people went skydiving, I got off pretty cheap.

And how many points did your team rack up and how does your score fare compared to others? I swear, if you didn't rank really high up there, I would be very disappointed.

Date: 2012-11-27 05:59 am (UTC)As for points, I have no idea!! AND IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY! They are really taking their sweet time in announcing any winners.
I've seen many of the ones we got, but not as MANY as we have, but that is only tumblr. Teams might be posting elsewhere, or not posting at all. *shrug*

Keep in mind there's a few that won't be posted, due to having young kids, or people who want to remain private, but this site will have most of our stuff.
