I'm caught up on the comic and was itching to use a different (but quick) media. CRAYONS! I still need to plan out my colours better. They don't layer well, and for the darkest areas, I need to leave it alone so the black will lay down better.
MY ever growing Steve/Tony and mostly STEVE obsession is all your fault! Just wanted to let you know that! WEll done! I've never been to America, been raised to believe America is this weird far-of country I should NEVER aspire to want to visit (mind you, I do want to visit and I've made up my own mind about what to subscribe to and what not), been taught to believe that patriotism is something to laugh at and I NOW OWN A CAPTAIN AMERICA T-SHIRT! O.O XD I've got the stars and stripes down alright and have most likely been spoiled forever and IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! XD
bizarre yelling aside, if you'd not started with the Steve/Tony art way back, I probably wouldn't love them so hard. So my point is, I LOVE YOU FOR IT! <3 *glomps*
Because, your art?! YES PLEASE! It's amazing! I can't get enough of it and my fingers are twitching towards the screen, wanting to touch.
♥ You rock my world! If I don't see you around before Christmas, hope you have a happy and wonderful one. You never cease to delight me! ♥
If it makes you feel any better, I'm not American either, but I AM Canadian, so we're pretty close. TBH, we make fun of Americans and their flag waving and apple pie all the time. But then, we secretly want to be them too. And yet, we're totally glad we're not.
They are like our bigger, bolder, successful (but brash and braggy) big brother. We love them and want to smack them upside the head. (No offense my American friends!!)
I"ve loved RDJ since before Iron Man, but had never even HEARD of Captain America until the movie came out. I never read superhero comics as a kid, just Archie and Richie Rich. I had no desire to see the movie, but was BLOWN AWAY when I finally did. At the very end of the movie, (maybe even after the credits?) when they showed Tony Stark meeting Steve Rogers, my brain exploded. Oh yeah, slash goggles SOOOO activated. :)
You should! I only started drawing when I found fandom in 2005! There were so many good artists in the HP fandom, and I really wanted to be able to draw Snape. :D
Seriously, anyone can do it, it just takes practice! http://tripperfunster.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=two+year+snape#/d156e1d
Honestly, I have no idea how to begin! I am so rubbish at art - I can make things, but I have no idea what to do with a pencil. Any suggestions as to where to start? xxx
Well, on my first day I went out and bought a sketchbook and some pencils and an eraser. That first Snape in that pic was actually MY FIRST SNAPE ever. I was horribly disappointed. Horribly!
I really thought I'd be better at it than that. Nope! But I kept chugging at it.
Find something you like to draw and draw it! For me, it's faces. I just do not get bored of drawing faces. Generally fandom stuff, because yeah .. escape much?
I have drawn my kids and other stuff, but I really like drawing cute/interesting men.
Oh, wow. Have you ever used crayon as a medium before? This is really remarkable, WONDERFUL job.
It almost reminds me of Steve himself-- something sort of Americana-esque where you think you understand its potential, and then someone (steve, you) comes along and BAM. Are so much better than you imagined. <3 It's almost like meta-art.
I've done a few crayon portraits. http://tripperfunster.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=two+year+snape#/ http://tripperfunster.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=crayon#/d38h6e5d156e1d http://tripperfunster.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=crayon#/dv7qmu But not tons.
It's a fun medium, but a bit limiting.
Hee! Your comment is so cool, and give me all sorts of credit i don't deserve.
