My husband is watching basketball (Clippers vs. Lakers, if anyone cares) and I'm pretty sure the commentators are just randomly making up words.

So far, one has said that they need to "Up their physicality," "They've been very impactual" --like, they've had an impact on someone/thing, and someone did something "uphandidly".

ARE THESE EVEN WORDS?

Physicality is fine, but it should be impactful ... and the third is a new one on me.

I heard a football (soccer) commentator the other day saying that somebody was playing 'like a jam tart' ... I'm still trying to work out what he meant!

Well, whether or not you can 'up' your physicality is another matter, but it is a real word. I suppose he meant they weren't playing aggressively enough?
