This was a scribble doodle that really got away from me. I had pictured it being much more ... dark red, but my pens disagreed, having more pinks and purples and oranges than blood-red colours. Drawn in little tiny circles. Much more stylized than my usual fare.

Whoa, that is ridiculously awesome for such a simple sounding technique. How long did something like that take you? Do you really just kind of scribble or do you plan each loop placement as you draw? That might sound like a sarcastic question but I mean it completely genuine. I'm fascinated by this drawing technique. I kind of want to try it. I make all the displays and signage at my work, and I tried a similar circular technique for quick-shading a bunch of wine grapes. Pretty sure my sharpie over cardstock cannot measure up to this.

I certainly don't plan each scribble-loop, but I do a quick pre-sketch in pencil, then start with the lighter colours, working my way down to the dark ones.

I didn't do a wip of this one, but I have one of my iron man, which might help you understand my ARTISTIC PROCESS. <---:D
