-Well the first thing that popped into my head was the serum aka we get little Steve

-Then I thought of the old chestnut where Steve would take upon himself Tony's suffering.

-Another possibility is Loki could take what Steve gained. The two of them getting together. Leaving Steve with the memory of them getting together but not actually being together.

-Loki could take Steve's Love of Tony. Though that would be more cruel to Tony than Steve.

-Tony could be awake and hear it all.

-The whole thing was one crazy dream and Steve is back on the ground knocked out.

Then there is the funny business with Tony's dreams though, which I'm not sure how that all works into this. But really, I'm not feeling any of those particularly strongly and I'm thinking it will probably be something else. So, far you've done a great job of being obvious but not predictable with the plot.

Nothing to do with this comic, but your comment about the toys making out reminded me and this seems like a crowd that would get a kick out of this story...

A couple of months back I went away to the seaside with a friend. Whilst there I played on the crane machine, determined to win myself some avenger soft toys... I won myself a captain America and an iron man... yay me...anyway, I left them lying on the floor in front of the couch when my friend and I decided to call it a night, with a good foot of space between them... when we got up the next morning, iron man was lying on his back and captain America was face down on top of him... positioned with cap's groin firmly atop iron man's face....

To this day my friend swears she didn't do this... so if there's any truth to Toy Story, my dolls are so gay for each other....

OK, leaving aside that Steve just told Captain Chaos that he will give him whatever he wants--I thought he was the master of strategy!--I have to say that I love the way you draw Loki here. Steve says this amazingly heartfelt thing about Tony's greatest strength being his heart, and you basically show us Loki rolling his eyes! ILU.

I know I'm a Loki-apologist (lol) but I could see Loki being genuinely touched by what Steve said and fixing Tony without demanding something awful. Well, maybe not too awful. Maybe.
