Getting him to sit still with flowers on him was not easy! Hubby says he looks delicious in that last one. ;)

Whoa! Clicking on the link brought me nose to nose with an extremely large and grumpy-looking old dude. It was kind of startling - I forgot how much tortoises resemble little dinosaurs. Those forelegs are amazing, like body armor.

Your piggy is adorable - and so tiny! And how did you get him to lie still like that? Or was it purely a lucky Kodak moment?

yes, his legs are cool. He can't back up into his shell all the way, but he tucks in his head and uses those armoured legs for protection.

That was a COMPLETELY FABRICATED Kodak moment. He did not want to sit still! There were many belly rubs to convince him.

Okay Morris is larger than Chelsea who is a Maine Coon, right?
Morris is smaller than the tortoise. Which poses the question, WHAT KIND of tortoise is that? How did you get a Galapagos Tortoise, if it is one?

Morris is about the same size as Chelsea who is a Netherland Dwarf bunny. Morris is considerably smaller than Moses, who is an African Sulcata Tortoise. They are the second largest ones, just one tick down from the Galapagos guys.

Sulcatas get to be about 100 to 150 lbs, but are much flatter than the really dome like other guys. I would TOTES own one of them, but I'm pretty sure they're a protected species.

Moses is about 60 lbs right now. He's still got some growing to do. ;)

Awww still life with piggy and flowers. Morris is adorable! And whoa, huge tortoise! I love watching tortoises walk. They seem to defy gravity. Their armored legs are huge, yet they seem to walk daintily on the tips of their toes. Levitating!

I love your animal pics. They are all so cute. Especially Morris. What a doll. Moses looks way too daunting for me to handle.

Our family is getting our first family dog. He's from a dog rescue and is being trained with an inmate at southeast corrections in Lancaster Ohio. My daughter and I are going to meet him tomorrow for the first time. Then probably 2 more weeks and we can bring him home. His name is Simba. He's still a puppy. Jack Russell terrier and something else. They think pug. He's got a jrt muzzle. We are puppy proofing the house!

Keep the pet pictures coming. They are fun to look at.
