Gishwhes item # 29.
You're a pirate, so dress like one. In addition to the eye-patch and other accoutrmements you must have a live brid perched on your shoulder. You should be standing on your ship's deck, which in this case is neither a ship, nor a deck...it's a queue at the DMV

We don't really have DMV's anymore here in Manitoba. We get our licences at local insurance agencies. (not the test, but the yearly renewals). We have such an insurance agent right beside our store, so I asked them if we could do it and they were more than happy to accomodate us. I did a quick trip to Value Village to pick up some pirate type clothing and then grabbed a bird and some customers from my own store and made the insurance agent take the pics. :D

Soooooo per thefreedictionary.com

you've obtained this:
1. letter of mark and reprisal - a license to a private citizen to seize property of another nation
2. letter of marque, letters of marque

Do I need to alert the Dept. of Homeland Security? Just asking.

Preparing for Sept.19, Talk like a Pirate Day?

Well, I WAS going to take over the world, but I guess I'll chill for a bit first. ;)

I don't actually talk well, like a pirate. ... just lots of arrrgs and mateys. :D

It's amazing what you can find at a second hand store. The hook and eyepatch were from a 'costume store' in the ghetto-cheap department, but the clothes are all actual, legit clothes that just gelled to be a pirate. :D

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I love how people just fall over themselves to fit in with your crazy requirements for these challenges! I'd say you were very lucky, but I suspect you make your own luck in cases like this; you're obviously extremely difficult to resist!!!

It's that Canadian politeness. We're not very good at saying no! :D (and I say please, of course!)

Ha! The guy at the desk is a very regular customer of ours. The other two are regular enough that I recognized them, but didn't know their names. They were in a hurry, and almost said no, but I dragged them over and promised it would only take a minute. :D

NO, I TAKE IT BACK--THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE.

I ask myself, 'Why are people so willing to accommodate her?', and then I remember that I've met you, and realize you could sell Manhattan Island to Native Americans.

Don't pick favourites yet, there are many more to come! :D

I really should get a job recruiting for a cult. Do you think the Scientology guys are hiring? I hear they pay well!
