Okay, my son has burned through all of Lost and the X-Files and was looking for another show on Netflix.

Since I've heard good things about Supernatural (and I'll TOTES be meeting Misha Collins when I win GISHWHES) I told him to give it a try.

So, we're most of the way through season one, and I'd like to read some good fic. Nothing too spoilery of upcoming seasons, and I guess stuff just featuring Sam and Dean. I haven't met Castiel yet (or anyone else) so I'll wait until I see those shows before devouring fic.

So ... plotty, smutty, h/c, first time fic (or any combination of those) would be much appreciated.

you've never watched stargate atlantis, right? I was just thinking that the actor who plays rodney mckay has a really interesting face you might enjoy drawing. not so much in still shots, bit when he's moving/expressive, it can be fascinating to watch. well, it is to me anyway.

When you get to Castiel, let me know! I am a huge Castiel fan! I skipped the first three seasons, only having watched a few early episodes here and there. Mostly I dislike the typical monster-of-the-week style which characterized the first three seasons. Give me seasons 4 and 5 any day on endless repeat!

Well, I am quite enjoying the MOTW for now, but people say that the two-man cast becomes a pretty rockin' ensemble cast, and I'm looking forward to that as well. I'll let you know when i'm there.

Eh, a bit. I read a LOT more than I write. I often used my muses for K/S writing, even if was Supernaturally inspired!

I have recently begun to venture into Supernatural this year, myself, though I've watched the show off and on since its inception, I never went there until recently.

Best part of getting there late is that there is a wealth of fic and art out there; it's been around 9 seasons, so it's quite massive. That said, the wankery, asshattery and crazy found in SPN rival that of any two fandoms online, so much of it is now deleted/locked/gone forever behind walls of flounces and such, which makes it disappointing, at times, to those of us trying to find the old 'classics', etc.

My first thing to do with any new fandom is to find the big newsletters and fic rec communities. Awards, fests/big bangs, story finder comms and personal reccers are next.

Right now I'm digging gen fic, weechester fic, pre-series fic. I've also been reading massive amounts of quality Sam/Dean fic, and Destiel. I've read het in this fandom and enjoyed it also.

I've read some from Crack Van, but the hard part is not spoiling myself too much with the upcoming episodes. I'm not super-vigilant about it, but I still want to enjoy the series as it unfolds.

I will check out storyfinders. That's what i use for Avengers fandom and it works well! <3
