Perdition Stained glass WiP

This one might actually kill me.

I had to move my 'workshop' (i.e. table and a bunch of junk) in from the garage. As much as I hate to cut glass and play with lead in the house, it was just TOO DAMN COLD in there! Sadly, the light where I am now is really strange, so it's kind of screwing with my availability for working on it. Daytime is fine, but at night, the lights I have (which were the same ones from the garage) are almost too bright, and they make everything strange and shiny and reflective, so I can only work on it during the day. AGAIN WITH THESE FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!!

Anyhoo, here it is so far.




Not shown here: I"ve painted the feathers on the wings and the wrinkles on the shirts. Now I have to shade the faces and some of the framing and get those pieces fired.

God, that green is HIDEOUS! It's actually a nice, pale green, but on that white paper it is fugly as hell.

I'm glad you said that about the green, I was just thinking my GOD that's almost luminous and not in a good way! LOL

Very nice work on the lettering, and I like the look of the glass you've used for the wings. It's shaping up nicely!

Yeah, it's pretty nasty, and now I"m starting to get worried! :D Maybe I'll tape some to the window and really SEE how green it's going to be. I REALLY don't want to have to re-cut that shit! Plus, I"m painting Dean's shirt, so it will be darker anyway and that is where the light is really reflecting and making it seem neon. *shudder*

Maybe if it is too lurid you could paint it all, to dull the effect. Blades of grass perhaps...

The lettering and wings and fire are amazing. The green is indeed a lot greener than desirable, but I guess that painting the shirt will make it better.
It's gonna be epic when finished:)
