Help me pick!

The stained glass place were I spend my kid's inheritance shop is having a 'show' and I can enter two windows. There are apparently a couple of prizes (best in show and people's choice??) in each category (fused glass, windows etc) so I'm not sure which window to bring!

Of course, I'll bring the newest one,


But I'm undecided on the second choice. Should it be my other SPN window? Or Iron Man?



The painting on this one turned out quite well, and there very possibly won't be anyone else bringing painted glass like this.
On the other hand,

I quite like this one. It's bigger, about 2'x 2' and shouldn't compete with my other window.

Which one(s) would YOU pick? I have no idea who/what I"m up against, and I also have to assume that the average stained glass person is uh … Not hip? I'm willing to bet that the median age will be well above fifty and they may or may not know what ANY of these windows are about, so they'll have to win on craftsmanship and composition alone.

I would go with the second choice(3rd one down), since, like you said, it won't compete thematically with your first choice and it'll give people a better idea of the range of work you're able to produce.

Such great work, I only wish I had a third of your talent with the different media you choose. It really is impressive.

:D Thanks! You should try stained glass. I'm sure you'd do great at it! Maybe when little Cat is bigger. It's really not a hobby for those with little kids. I took a 10 year break. Now they're old enough to not EAT the lead and/or cut themselves on my stuff. ;)

I love the Vorticist aesthetic of the Iron Man one. As you know.

But I also think the contrast with the first window really demonstrates your creativity.

I would choose the Iron Man window. In part because it doesn't immediately scream Iron Man. It's just pretty. Then, as your brain does that 'putting things into patterns' thing it does, you see what it is.

Thanks. Yes! It's like of like .. oh, pretty shapes and colours … wait a minute …. IRON MAN! I don't know if the windows will have little cards for titles and such, but I'm sure there will be a few people who won't see it until it's pointed out to them.

I'd go for the Iron Man window, because it doesn't really say it at first--and it is a lovely window, overall? Together they show lots of range in style and color.

I'd go with Iron man simply ebcause the two pieces then have a really nice contrast in styles - the geometric angular vs the more 'traditional' so you have both covered that way.

I would go with top and bottom windows. I love the middle one, but since you are taking the first one, go with the one that shows another talent, and a different theme.

I would pick iron man as your second window, b/c you already have and SPN one, and people are more likely to recognize iron man than SPN, it also shows off a completely different style and an interesting take on iron man.

I like the 1st and the 3rd choices. The 1st one because of the amount of craftsmanship that it displays. It's a complex window, and it's beautiful. The 3rd one because it's not only beautiful, I think it's beautiful in a mathematical and geometric way which I think would be an aesthetic draw for the competition.
