If you post a short video to lj, where do you link from? Do I have to open a youtube account? Or are there other vid hosting sites out there?

Usually I do mine through youtube and no you don't need to open an account with youtube, all you need to do is copy the address bar of the video once you opened that video.

This also worked for me with vimeo.
