IMAGE. Let’s see a flattering mosaic of one of Misha’s crushes: Dilma Rousseff, Michelle Obama or Sarah Palin, on the window of an office-supply store. The mosaic is made from multi-colored Post-Its.38 POINTS

This one wasn't much different than some of the bead work I do, except it was in a hot window and I was pressed for time. Not to mention, that if I"d used full sized post it notes, the mosaic would have been 4x bigger! So I cut the ones I had into quarters (only the top two sections had sticky stuff though …) and did it that way. Even so, it was around 4 feet by 4 feet. Staples was really nice about letting me do it, and I now have enough left over post it notes that I should never have to buy any ever again.

I picked Michelle Obama, but it looks more like Mariah Carey to me!



They were a real PIA to remove as well!

It broke my heart to do it. Not only was it wasteful, but it just added moar work!

that's part of why I cut mine to strips instead of squares (to cut down on the waste) - I know it's not a true 'mosaic', but i've seen collages called mosaics often enough I am crossing my fingers it's ok.
