It doesn't hurt that we do dog and cat rescue at our store! We had two dogs at the time. A very cute, young yorkie puppy and this older, fatter yorkie cross. I went with the older one because she was the one who really needed the help. (Don't get me wrong, we generally only have older dogs, and they all get adopted. We don't have a time limit for them, and most of them enjoy being at the store, because they often have free reign of the place and get a shit-ton of attention while they're with us.)

Bailey is a real sweetheart, and has really blossomed since she came to be with us six weeks ago. She was terrified, matted up, had a tumour on her belly and hadn't been fixed.

We're still working on her fur, but she's been fixed and had the tumour removed and has chilled out quite a bit. I think she'll make a great pet for someone.

The woman in the picture was actually adopting the OTHER dog, but I got her to pose with Bailey, since I had made the poster already. Her and her husband have been customers of ours for years, and it was really nice to know who the little yorkie was going home with.

Fear not, Bailey will find a home soon too, I'm sure. Everyone makes a fuss over her.gishitem61

Is the photo on the bottom, "I'm Adopted!" mean what it says. Did someone adopt Bailey? She was still waiting for someone to choose her at the end of the text here.
If so HURRAY! She does look sweet.

No, the bottom photo is a fake. That lady adopted a different dog, but I had her pose with Bailey to fulfill our prompt.

We have never NOT adopted out a dog, so I'm not worried. Older dogs take a bit longer to find homes, but they always eventually do. I'll let you know when she does!
