More Crayon Houses (well, one more)

I bought the Prang crayons (thanks for the suggestion, kittehkat!! I've always thought of crayons as very hard to draw with, but THEY ROCK! And dear Lord, they're so freakin' cheap! Two bucks! I also broke down and bought some chalk pastels, but I didn't try them yet.

Thanks again to elicia8 for the rockin' crayon tutorial. You've made a maniac out of me! I'm going to have to do a crayon Snape next!

I really love how this portrait is almost a caracature of him. Totally unintentional, but cool, nonetheless. :D

OHHHHH. SO HOT. AND GORGEOUS. EEEEEEE! I adore the light additions of the rosy tones and man, the shadows! So pretty! His eyes, omg! I really hope this becomes one of your regular mediums! :D Oh, and I hope you like the Prangs and don't want to murder me. XD

No! I quite like them! I couldn't find the Prangs at Staples, so I bought some Crayolas, but then I went to an art supply store (where I could wander happily for hours) and found them in the kids section. I haven't tried the crayolas yet, so I can't compare, but i really like how bright they are, and they're definitely less waxy than the crap-crappity ones I used the day before.

Nope! A simple 16 pack! No glitter or metalics. :D The tutorial only uses 5 colours. These crayons are definitley more full of pigment than the last ones!

Good christ, this is beautiful. You're right--it does look somewhat like a caricature, but I think that makes it even better. I'm so impressed; I can't draw in this "illustration" style myself (all my stuff ends up looking photo-realistic), but this has such character. He's really got an amused, expectant look on his face, the smartypants. I can't tell if those eyes are kind or snarky, but my oh my, they are full of life. *can't get over it*

It's House! What else can I say? Fabulous. :)

Oh, and your coloring looks great. I know you were concerned (though I can't see why, lol).

Well, I can't INTENTIONALLY work in an illustration style either, but I'll will take my mistakes and claim them as artistic brilliance! ;^)

I generally AIM for photo-realism, but only occasionally achieve it.

As for the expression, it's pretty much exactly what it was on the screen cap. I believe it was 'mildly amused in a Ican'tbelivewhataloseryouare sort of way.' :D

Also will probably have something for you to go on for Fantasy Fest next week. It's pretty fucking cracktastic - I have decided that when you die, you get a Dead Apartment and your Dead Apartment has a Living TV which you can tune to watch anyone who's still living. When Harry dies killing Tom, guess who James and Lily tune in to watch? So yes, prepare to draw people watching television.

(Also Sirius and Regulus spends a lot of time at their Dead Apartment because Regulus' Living TV stopped working when Sirius died and he hasn't bothered to get it fixed.)
