As far as art supplies go, $2 is mondo cheap! My water colour pencils are $2 EACH, and I have .... 40? A simple paint brush can run anywhere from $4 to $80. Needless to say, I only own the $4 ones!
Hell, the paper that I use (Bristol, vellum, for these) is almost a buck a sheet.
doing art properly can cost a ton of cash. Thank god I don't do it properly!
